  1. I don't know. I thought they changed that. I'll have to check and let you know.</font>I talked with a police officer the other day about that and he said that there is no law about that and it was made up... just thought I'd let you all know
  2. exactly, just like a cop on a blue bike can pull you over but cant give you a ticket, the highway partol uses gold intrepids for the unmarked cars, we had one in my bodyshop that got slammed in the ass, wouldnt you hate to be that person</font>A bike cop can give you a rolling violatoin such as failure to stop, illegal turn and so on. When i was at work some guy rolled a redlight for his right turn. 5 min later after he got out and was eating his lunch this biker lady rolled up asked who the owner of the truck was and wrote ticket lol.</font>The Gahanna bike cops give speeding tickets in the summer time. I always saw them on Morrison Rd with their radar trying to clock people... (and they were always hiding behind a street sign)
  3. I'm almost possitive that a police office can not pull their weapon on you unless they are feeling physically threatened and a kid speeding I don't think can be considered that.
  4. Hey Anthony, can I get my COFBA sticker?
  5. Hey Anthony, can I get my COFBA sticker?
  6. I just got ahold of a Jeep dealership that would talk to me. They said either one is fine as long as they aren't mixed. I guess the Dex-Col or whatever is just a longer life antifreeze. They started using that in the '00 models. Thanks guys!
  7. I did call them, I was told both. One guy was like, the green stuff, then they put me on hold, and someone else picked up, and told me the orange.

    velcro?

what are you trying to hang?
  9. I think that the hanging through half of third came from his power hit mid way through 3rd.... I think Adam has the hammer cam which is a pretty good cam.... (I don't know where the power band is on his CAM.) That sucks taht you can't hang out.... I have a digi video camera if you do want vid's taken... although I am a little slow getting them posted.... as a few people from Dyno know... (I know guys, I'll get them to you)
  10. Ok, my mom's Jeep is a '95 with a 4.0 engine. What type of antifreeze goes in it? The antifreeze was brown that was in it, but that could have been because it was broken down.... I flushed it once and put the orange stuff in it thinking that's what it was supposed to have, but it had a waterpump leak, so I had to drain it again Just woundering if it is supposed to use the green or orange stuff. Everywhere I've looked, it just says uses Jeep approved coolant... ok... what is it??? damn manuals... no help! [ 09 October 2002, 09:51 AM: Message edited by: Josh Miller ]
  11. Yeah, it was just LT1's that did that because they have that reverse cooling system. Thanks!
  12. Hey, can you ask your buddy where the vapor lock valve is on the Jeep. Most of them that I've seen is located around the water pump, but I couldn't find one.
  13. If he wants to help, that's fine. I found out that it is trying to turn the A/C on even though the button isn't on. I'm going to try and pull the fuse out of the fuse box and see if that keeps the A/C from comming on then. it isn't charged, so it's trying to turn on, and turning off when it detects no freeon. The one thing that I see as a problem is it looks like the water pump might be leaking. Does anyone know where the valves are on the coolant system to make sure it doesn't get vapor locked? It appeared to be running at the right temperature, but when the car turns off, I can hear it make like a draining sound, and I'm not sure if that is supposed to do that or not.
  14. weird.... why would a coolant temp sensor cause the Compressor to start spinning for a sec and turn off...... the compressor has kind of a funny whine to it when it spins.... it deffinately isn't a normal spinning sound, kinda like the clutch is still semi-engaged..... anyone know where the coolant sensor is on these cars? Also, are there vapor lock valves on them?
  15. ok, my mom's Grand Cherokee Laredo was leaking coolant. it was the Lower radiator hose, but it also appears that it might be leaking out a little from the water pump. I put some stop leak in it and it cut down allot of the leaking. I did notice a power surge in the motor..... when it was at idle, the A/C compressor would start spinning for like a second or so, then stop..... (the clutch on the compressor was engaging) and then it would not spin for like 5 sec's, and then repeat itself. when it would stop spinning, the RPM's would go up for a sec. Is this normal on these SUV's? It's a '95 with the 4.0 motor. [ 01 October 2002, 07:43 AM: Message edited by: Josh Miller ]
  16. I put a 4.10 gear in my camaro.... it deffenatly accelerates quicker on the bottom end, but I did loose power on the top end putting in the gear. If you would have shifted into 5th then you would have lost worse. Unless you ran out of room to go higher on the tach, but you still would have had a hard time. How bad did he beat you?
  17. They charged me for a new radiator... if they did that then man... there is gonna be some issues.... oh, word to the wise.... NEVER go to A1 body and frame!
  18. Well, I'd rather not take it back there because they have messed up several things so far and last time they tried to blame me for it, so I kinda came unwound.... The heater only blows hot air when the car is moving and the RPM's are above 2k. Sitting at idle, there is no heat comming from the car. Could that just be that the Anti-freeze is low?
  19. Ok, I have a '01 Eclipse GT, just got it back rom front end damage, and the heater only works when the car is running.... Any ideas?
  20. normally, but also, your compressor can be broken or something. You'd have to check. Hey, does anyone know what kind of Freeon the cherokee's use? I'd like to get that fixed for my mother if I can. Ok, is it the heater core or the evaporator line?
  21. where is the drain port at? by the heater core? isn't the heater core inside of the dash? Why would they engineer the car like that? What does the drain port look like? Yeah, I'll do it on my own as long as I can.
  22. My mother's A/C in her Grand Cherokee Laredo leaks. Whenever it is turned on, the passanger side under the seat gets really wet. Any ideas what causes that and how to fix it?
  23. I've never heard of headers killing bottom end power. Well, I'll agree, putting gears in on stock rears is not exactly the smartest move in the world. (I did it on mine, but it's not my daily driver) What all have you done to your car? Also, I have some factory Z28 5 starts with rubber on them that you might be interested in. They are not chrome, but look quite nice when cleaned up.
  24. are you sure that isn't inch pound instead of foot pound? I know that when we did my buddy's CAM swap, it said like 120 lbs of torque for the valve covers, but that was inch pound and really needed like 22 ft lb or what not... just figured I'd let you know so you don't make the same mistake
