  1. Orion, to answer your question. I have wanted an evo 8 for some time now. But honestly, i am affraid i will attempt to mod it. We all know rotories are not reliable, so that is what i am after, A daily driver. The evo 8 is such a great platform I probably mod it, therefore not making it just as much as relaible as my 7(i doubt that is possible, but you get the idea. So with that in mind, i am after something slow, 4 doors, and something the ladies like! Ty
  2. I have been a member of CR for a while. I guess i am lazy cause i am just now getting around to introducing myself. Some of you may know me, some may not. I am Ty, i dive a 93 Mazda Rx-7. I am also looking at purchsing a Lexus IS300 or an evo 8, but only time will tell on that one. I just thought i would say hi. Thanks Ty [ 13. January 2005, 10:50 AM: Message edited by: 1 DIRTY 7 ]

  4. tranny's is the L-67 suck, i hear intense has awesome upgrade, check them out!!!
  5. I am really surprised at the redline with that many cubes and stroke. Sounds like a winner to me. And as nitrousbird said, sound nitrous friendly to me. I agree.
  6. 400 hp yes, reliable no. The intake manifild is junks, too much air to the rear, they like to lean out, and the throttle by wire is hard to get around. Oh and not to mention they like blowing igniters, and advance timing for no appart reason. so that mean spitting bearings. But other than that, sure they are reliable. Ty
  7. damn that is rather difficult, .526 I cut better lights at the track, granted not consistantly, but i have.
  8. IS it possible that since the air is denser(from being cold) and the maf sensor knows this therefore telling it to dump more fuel?
  9. Depending on what both of them look like +1
  10. Awesome vid, didn't see that coming at all!

  17. I damn near baught that car, i do beleive it was for sale at Wedgewood sports and imports over in powell. He wanted 13.5 k for it, paint did look like shit, it felt stong, but owner, wasn't too keen about doing a compression check on it. And mike, are you talking about your Step-Son? That would be very cool.
  18. No, but maybe, i don't let stupid people outsmart me either.
  19. If you really want to mod it check this place out. www.quantum-racing.com they are very knowledgeable, and very friendly. I do want to warn you though, as it may be hard to understand this next comment it is the truth. 3s's have the same reliabity factor as a rx-7. Transmission is not great, actually horrible. And two, bad engineering on the block, like to spit rod bearings. The choice is ultimatly yours, good luck
  20. John, i am telling you this, the original isn't that funny, but the remix's people did to it, OMG. I am still laughing over it, get on IMesh or bearshare and just type star wars kid. it is worth it.
