  1. Man threads like this make me want to dump the show car and put something together that may not be pretty but is fast.
  2. Cool! Please? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/casey02ws6/DSC00731.jpg
  3. It will be interesting to see what the SS ends up running. I figure it has 100 hp more than a stock 02 Trans Am and weighs 2-300 #'s more. Some 02s were breaking into the 12s stock so I figure the new one should certainly get into the 12s. You make a good point on the IRS though on the strip - that will hurt. The torque curve on these motors will be rediculous I am confident.
  4. Your posts are usually right on - your off on this one. Funny you should mention weight driving a Cobra but the new Camaros will weigh almost exactly what a Cobra weighs - 3700 #'s for the V6 and under 3900 for the V8 (Cobra is ~3800 if I remember right). The V8 will be a mid 12s car per most mags I have read. The 556 HP Z28 is done but needs Gov't blessing to be released. All models will have IRS as well.
  5. I like it but I think it will look much better in person. Also, just for the haters - the V6 is 300+ HP and, if perf est are to be believed, will give a new Mustang GT all it wants in a race. It is the 3.6 out of the CTS and one of GMs most advanced motors.

    SCAM???

Anytime they put "this is 100% legitimate" in the description I get concerned. Oh and +1 on silver...
  7. Thank God - I thought you were swapping cams again - lol
  8. I lol'd - i even think it is sig material
  9. +1 - Don't buy into that "as is" stuff. My wife closed on a house last month that was a foreclosed home. Bank agreed to repairing the roof. Contract was written contingent to inspection and offer was accepted. Inspection showed a leaky roof - buyer wanted it fixed and bank agreed. In your situation where there were multiple offers that probably would not work - they would take one of the offers without contingencies.
  10. +1 - and all of the questions you are asking should have already been answered by your agent! It is a crap shoot on foreclosed homes but if you're patient you will find something.
  11. Looks good man...consider me in the lower that bitch camp. Mine is lowered and I am running 17x11 rears with 315s - got to "massage" the inner fenders.
  12. Are you working with an agent? - If not get one. My wife is an agent that only represents buyers - I know they can get more info on the house through their contacts and make sure you get it for as cheap as possible and don't get burned on the condition of the house.
  13. Depends on year / condition, etc. Like they said maybe shoot for a 3rd gen?
  14. Good pics - wish I could have made it. Stuck at home putting down new flooring - should have just paid the man!
  15. Free piano - come and get it. It has a couple of broken keys but, hey it is free you know? It is a Merlin and Sons upright. I am redoing the floors in my house and am tired of moving the thing around. Check out the ad on Craigs list. http://columbus.craigslist.org/fuo/1041491218.html Originally listed at $150 but flooring came in early and it must go!
  16. Will do - the whole car is dusty from sitting in the garage all winter - will need some pics when the weather turns. The pics do not do it justice - I am thrilled with the way it came out. I don't think I will need to do anything to the center section. Now I just need to steal a little from the budget to do the CETA mod.
  17. You will have to trust me that it looks much better in person. I think my wife's cellphone has a flash so you can see the patterns in the lights. They are darker in person than they appear in the photo. (oh and I have not polished the tailpipes yet this year ;-)) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/casey02ws6/TAILLIGHTS.jpg
  18. Not much this winter - - Had Kevin (360Iroc) tint all of my lights - black paint / clear - looks badass - All new fluids - Picked up a B and M Ripper shifter - Cleaning and more cleaning Needs: - Line lock - New clutch (we'll see -seemed to be holding out OK after the track day burn up) - New Ford 9 or GM 12 bolt - someday - maybe with my bonus next year
  19. I was kicking around selling mine - would probably look for a similar amount out of mine so I don't think it is outrageous but I think mine is nicer than that.
  20. Make sure you get them in a package or at least have the heads and cam matched. The LS1 really comes alive when you match the correct heads to the correct cam. A good tuner can make a very nasty cam "streetable" but I advise at least checking out a few local cars before you decide. If you plan to drive it much on the street cam selection will be very important.
