Jerk. Lol - good news is I think it is fine - did a couple of harder launches on it and it feels like it is good to go. FWIW - we are talking $300 for this complete rear ~40K miles.

I have the opportunity to pick up a cheap stock 10 bolt from another F-body. It has 3.73 gears in it which is why it interests me (that and it is good when you have an F-body to have a spare rear). Is it worth the effort to swap the rearends for the change in gear ratio? I have been told the gears will "wake it up" but I am not sure if this small of move would be noticable.

Yep - failure! I am going to install a line lock before the fall event - when I released the clutch the car hopped toward the wall and I got on the brakes too hard. With a helmet on I simply did not know I had stopped the tires. Oh well - it seems to be fine - maybe no permanent damage. The clutch was new last year. Funny thing is after all of that I launched it really soft to make sure it was going to move - 2.49 60' and still ran 13.2

I know what they are capable of - I was kidding. But I will say, how many people that talk about doing a swap actually do it? Yep - not many. For most they are better off starting with a more powerful car. They will end up spending more than necessary to get it built. I have all of the respect in the world for someone who tackles one of these swaps and does it right. It is just easy to talk about all of the cool stuff you are going to do to your car.

+1 - exactly when I lost interest. Also the complete mismatching of cars which is what lead to the race cars. You had to be able to run in the single digits because you know the opponent is going to bring an "11 second" car that somehow runs 9s due to the new convertor they just put in it or the "tune" that must have worked better than planned. Also, how many Mustangs did they have on the show really?

My car is not all that much lower than stock but there is no way I would go any lower. It does not look like he has more clearance than I do.
