The LT1s did - 96 and 97 LT1s had 2 cats. All LS1s have 2 cats. For what its worth the cats for an LS1 do not require the hump in the passenger floor but GM did not want to go through the expense of redesigning it.

They were slower (another one of those situations where the legend is bigger than the facts): http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/classic/112_0310_pontiac/photo_11.html I know there were probably packages that were quicker, better drivers, needed better tires, yada yada but the facts remain the newer ones are faster than the "legend".

A modern GTO will walk a classic GTO - not sure if that is what you meant by performing like the original (we won't even go into handling as that is not even in question. As pointed out above the GTO was not a competitor of the Evo / WRX. The Mustang is a better comparison. Again the problem was with the styling not the performance. The GTO ran to 60 in under 5 seconds and was an easy 13 second car in stock form with 400+ horsepower. It got good gas mileagae to boot and had the most refined interior in GM's arsenal.

Define "under perform"? The first time was not a failure - not the blockbuster they had hoped it would be but they did not lose money on the project. It did not do as well as they hoped due to the styling not the performance.

Bought a Voyager a week ago (did not know about the Dare coming out). I really like the features on the Voyager - I really like it and would not have considered any other brand than LG. I have had both Motorolas (3 or 4) and Samsung - 1 - both were junk compared to my LGs.

Saw one at the Hooters show - car is about 3 sizes too big. You are right pics do not do the car justice - they do not show how freakin huge they are! It was nice looking though.

Do yourself a favor and ride in an LS1 with true duals dumping before the axle before you buy. They sound great outside the car but will rattle your teeth inside the car.
