i talked to andy (AndysZaino) at when i was at NTB one day, he was messing with dave sigmans mustang at the time, he was telling me he uses the porter cable orbital buffer, i have never used one before, i have a rotary,but i wanted to try it. i have a friend at work who has one and let me try it for the weekend. so i decided to try it on the chopper i was detailing. i hand rubbed, and polished the bike previously, couldnt use my rotary, it was a little to bulky for this bike and you have to be careful with the rotary to not leave budding lines and such.anyways, it turned out well by hand, but there where a few blemishes i wanted to get out, and some swirl marks were still present, i figured id give the PC a try on a panel and see what happens. well it worked so well i just did the whole bike. i had several different pads to work with for compounds and polishes as well as my finish coat. it looks incredible. i cant wait to detail my bike i pick up tomorrow. i will post before and after pictures of it. but here are some pics of the Big Dog chopper i just got done with using the porter cable, as well as some hand application of waxes. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/1.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/2.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/3.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/4.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/5.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/6.jpg

i dont care who you are.. anyone that gets on this bike will feel like a badass, and i think thats why these type of bikes are so popular. its kind of like driving an exotic car, or a muscle car all decked out. you know people are looking, and they know what kind of money is in that thing. its a confidence booster lol. if i had that kind of money, id buy one used. but it would only be to tool around town, cause i couldnt ride this thing for long distances.

your bike just got wet sanded and buffed the other day. i will be taking a clay bar to it later on this week. it will be shinned up when you come to get it.
