  1. jones, right now i got it pump>rad>cpu>res>pump ive been doing a little bit of reading on tomshardware.com and they have stated it really doesn't matter what way it goes. not sure if i believe that or not im just trying it like this for now. i would definitely like to get another radiator but the case is just way to small for another one. if you spring a leak you should be fine as long as your running some kind of non conductive coolant. doing this will cause 2-3 degrees warmer temps rather then running plain distilled water but doing that and spring a leak = go kill yourself. right now i got the pump set at 2 but im going to increase it here soon once i get a proper check on all fittings to make sure theres no leak. i used plumbers tape on all fittings and then took the clamps and tightened them all the way down with pliers so its pretty firm. im still a noob at water cooling but im sure ill learn the tricks of the trade soon. my video card is a 8800 GTS Superclock. i had 2 at one time but it was just overkill.
  2. forward a few days well thanks to fedex i got my stuff today early! and huumm im FINISHED!! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0715.jpg testing the system for leaks http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0716.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0717.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0718.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0719.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0720.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0723.jpg i would have loved to use blue coolant but couldnt get any at the time needed. deffinitly cooled the computer alot! im running steady at 33/37 its about a 11 degree drop.
  3. Ok well after the last lan party i noticed my temps were higher then i would like on my CPU . not in the danger range but hotter then i wish. i have maxed out my antec 900 case and i dont really want to upgrade to a new case because i really like how my 900 looks. so i took on the project of being a select few people that have watercooled a antec 900. theres not much info out there of people doing the 900 case so i figured heck why not. heres the setup, all danger den products Danger Den TDX for AM2 Danger Den D5 pump (varible speed) Danger Den X-Flow Black Ice Xtreme Danger Den Single 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir 1/2 ID tubing MCP-40 coolant i have everything i need with exception of my waterblock and reservoir but i have the radiator mounted. i have never watercooled before so this is new to me but well see what happens heres a few pictures of whats been done so far. i mounted the radiator, originally i wanted to mount it 100% internally but that will no happen. due to tanks being on different sides it will not even allow it to mount. at first i was debating where to move it. cant put it on the side of the case because its to think. cant mount it in front because it wont fit in a bay well only thing left is mount it outside. well problem with doing that is i dont want the lines to run outside and then run it. well idea struck i could mount it and have the lines inside still. well i grabbed out a drill (antec 900 is a cheap case anyway) and drilled 2 holes for the coolant lines to run through. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0700.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0701.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0702.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0703.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/Watercooling/IMG_0704.jpg still work in progress. next thing to tackle is mounting the pump. still trying to figure out the best way to mount it but well see. water block will be here on the 10th so check back later that night and ill have the finished progress. if you have any tips let me know! i plan on watercooling my video card soon but that will be another day.
  4. yea i realise that, if you look at the first picture with the rust you can look on the roof line and see where its bubbling up. im taking care of that i would just like to see if i can get that spot taken care of. the underside will be all coverd with weather stripping so i dont mind it
  5. does anyone know a good body shop that does well with paint matching?
  6. well i may have over reacted. took out a wire brush and went at it once i thought i had it all good i got out the dewalt with the wire brush attachment and then went at it agian. im debating goin after it with the dremal or if i should go get some kinda rust killer stuff then just paint it. what you think.? http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0714.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0713.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0712.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0711.jpg
  7. the pictures are kinda deceiving, its worse in person. im really interested in trying to sand it down but the glass company wont put it in. i took it to a1 he said the metal is thin there. i think tomorrow im going to sand it down and see whats happens.
  8. ok well heres the deal, i was getting my windshield replaced and the guy removed the window but is not refusing to put the window in because of rust. the surface of the roof had a little bit of bubbling but nothing to major and they just removed the molding and its not the best. he is stating that they will refuse to put on the window till its fixed. where is some place that can fix the rust and match the paint at a good cost. i went to a1 and they said sure we can fix it but we need a new roof. fuck that! anyone able to do it for me? im SOL! http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0707.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0708.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0709.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view&current=IMG_0710.jpg its not that bad but i wont be able to live with myself knowing its there.
