  1. I agree. Very well thought out. I would like to add to the "elluding" thing. I've never done it, but I think it may work. If you happen to be speeding excessively and pass a cop and happen to know exactly where you are on the freeway, get off at the first exit and then do the speed limit and drive cautiously, maybe try to head into a subdivision that you know pretty well and maybe park for a couple of minutes. Isn't there some kind of rule that if you lose a cop, he can't be sure it was you? Not sure, but it may work. Then, it wouldn't be technically "eluding" because you could claim you were trying to find a buddy's house or somethin like that. Would that work?
  2. I'm too lazy to do it right now, but if you didn't get your choices from www.tirerack.com, I'd suggest going there and having a look around. They have a tire decision guide, you tell them what your looking for in a tire and they'll tell you what they think fits your wants and you can compare them, etc. It's the site I always use and they led me to get the tires that are on my car right now, so they're a good resource in my book.
  3. Get the 4.10's. From all of the threads I've read on Mustang boards about that very decision between the two, nobody who went with the 4.10's regretted it. I have 4.56's in mine, but a 6800 redline, so most people who have a 5800 redline (the newer GT's) always go with the 4.10's. If you get 3.73's, the first time you get beat off the line by someone, you'll ask yourself "why didn't I go with the 4.10's?" Don't pheer the gear!

By the way, Fowler. Did you get your gears in?

  4. I got mine done from James Hensler, who's good friends with my brother and he does all kinds of work on Mustangs. And I don't think the rear end of a 5.0 is much different than a newer 4.6, but I'd have to check with him. He's really cool, kinda serious, but does a great job! Can't think of any others at the moment, but PM me if you want info.

Do they come in high hp and low hp models?

How many hp does the 50 white add? Boy I bet that 150 Silver makes you FLY!

    ;)

I'm gonna have one made just for you, a banner sticker.

Yes, it's a 03 Cobra. You can find hundreds of topics about it, just visit any internet messageboard!

Or something to that effect tongue.gif;) </font>

Are you going to have any out tonight at Hooters?

Thanks man. Your car is damn fast. I'd like to run you at the track sometime on the ET Streets. :D I mean, that is what my bro designed it for.

Josh, we were dead even roughly 1/2 through third, but that's where Adam began to pull. I let off at the end of 4th and he was probably, I don't know Adam - what would you say? 2-3 car lengths, give or take 1? We should get it on tape sometime. However, that's where the problem comes in. Because I'm 16, my mom HATES the idea of me racing ILLEGALLY and because she found out about the races, she basically put her foot down and said I'm not allowed to hang out with you guys on Saturdays anymore. So, I'll guess I'll see you guys next season at the airport meets (if we still have them next season). Other than that, I'll be out when I turn 18. C ya later.

  8. Your pretty close to understanding, but he didn't mean from a stop. He simply said that if I would have gotten into 5th gear, because of my gears, my 5th would have kept pulling and allowed me to gain ground. I said "no" because there is no way I would catch up in 5th if I was being left back in 4th. He disagreed.

  9. Ok guys...got a question for you physics majors.

I raced Adam(99TA) about 2 hours ago and I must say right off the bat that it was exciting to say the least. I did not expect to win because of my horsepower disadvantage. I did, however, do rather well because of my gears. This brings me to my question: My dad believes that if I had gone into 5th gear and laid on the gas, I would have pulled on Adam, although he has much more horsepower. I don't think this is true because I had read previously that gears are a multiplication of torque factor, not horsepower(which is what is theoretically more important in high speed runs). First of all, Adam, what gears do you have in your TA? So the question is: With my steep gears, would I have been able to reach, say, 130mph faster than Adam, or would his horsepower pull him to that mph quicker than me? I would like a technical, in-depth, physical explanation on why I would or would not pull past him.
