what a breeze. got my boarding pass and bag checked (with a handgun included) in about 5 minutes. i thought it might have been a bit of a hassle, so i prepared by printing out the airlines regulations for checking a gun...didnt even need it. they ran it through the scanner, i figured they'd want to open it to check it again, but nope. they said i was good to go and that was it. now its off to FL. land of being able to carry in an establishment that serves alcohol, as long as they dont make >70% of profits from it (ie, bars). so annoying here having to disarm to walk into chipotle because they serve coronas.

i never went to meets for about 3-4 of those reasons. got out a couple times, and had a great time. the g/f doesnt even mind going, which is a huge +1. those who dont go, you're missing out unfortunately, ill miss out this week and next since ill be in FL, but ill be out the weekend of the 8th/9th if anything is going on. should be back out east then, which will be perfect

my subcompact with the extended mag (to feel like a fullsize grip) and the compact mag (10rd) and a 3" barrel was 419+tax. with the pearce grip extension, still 10rd, but i can fully fit my pinky, feels like a full size grip without the extra bulk, and shoots much better.

i always sleep through storms, but there was one lightning hit that i swear to god hit either my apartment building, or one of the buildings/garages next to me. i have never heard thunder crack so loud in my life. it actually woke me up, which has never happened.
