  1. I've said I wouldn't be shocked if he was done after this season. Hearing that he's planning on coaching through 2019 is surprising.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/report-urban-meyer-likely-out-after-2019-ryan-day-lined-up-as-successor/ar-BBQiUZP

The site the put out the report, FootballScoop, gets most of it's info from active and retired coaches.

That means that while they are pretty tied in, they do get some self serving BS from coaches from time to time (aka negative recruiting)

I am 50/50 on it being true

  2. I think I said it on here a while back that if ND goes 12-0 and you're deciding between them or a 12-1 conference champ/s then you need to throw out the 1 loss by the conference champ/s and compare the 12 wins. I'm sick of Notre Dame getting a pass because of refusal to join a conference based on pure greed. You want to be treated like an equal? Join a conference. You think Army or BYU would get the benefit of the doubt if they went 12-0 as an independent? Hell no.

People are saying "well we don't have any history on what the Committee does with a team with no conference championship"

Yes we do, Baylor and TCU 2014

  3. tOSU pass coverage and linebackers were much better back then however. I am by no means some crazy football fan but I like to watch tOSU play so take it as it will but I would almost bet money we have less plays where we actually broke up a pass 20+ yards vs completed passes or where we get called for PI

It is sad watching any long pass and our coverage is either no where to be found or we never k ow where he b-ball is and toss hands up in a desperate attempt to block it (usually tackling the receiver)

It's also crazy to watch how many balls ARE hit by the CB and the receiver still catches it. That being said OSU played an entirely different scheme in 2014 vs today. In 2014 they played a quarters scheme that has been proven to work vs today's offenses whereas today Schiano runs a single high press man scheme that requires having all high first eound draft picks and is built to stop offenses in 1998

  4. I’ve been listening to Detroit Radio, MSU Grad Mike Valenti afternoon guy on 97.1 the Ticket let his prediction be known for the OSU/UMgame. Michigan will be favored by 7, OSU can’t run it and can’t stop the run, OSU secondary sucks, Don Brown’s Defense gets after the QB and Haskins can’t move in the pocket or run, sucks throwing on the run and if they put Tate in, it telegraphs to Michigan that they are running. Michigan wins by double digits. And he hates Michigan....

I still think it’s closer, Michigan plays half as well as they do in Ann Arbor.

I would hope OSU's brain trust at OC would figure something out against the Michigan Defense.

Also, Michigan runs a style of offense that Schiano actually knows how to scheme against, so I like the chances there a little better. Michigan's pass rush scares me

  5. If we say Trump is in bed with the Russians and the Russians influenced the presidential election, then how do you stop that without ensuring each person is a valid, breathing citizen who votes?

Wait, do people really think that the collusion investigation is looking into actual votes by Russians? Is that why people go along with the "witch hunt" BS?
