  1. I'll throw Forno on the list. New place in German Village...all wood-fired food.

Great drinks, great food, AWESOME atmosphere. Very new-age dining.

I would recommend when making your reservation here that you specifically request dining in the dining area and not the bar so you have a little more room between tables and a little more privacy.

I think you mean Short North.

  2. Thanks for the great info brandon. I'm trying to get into hobbies that i can sustain for a long time and that are actually healthy for me (you mean drinking beer isn't healthy?). Turning 31 this week and the last 10 years of hockey have taken its toll, i hope to be one of those guys on the ice at 50-60 years old but im already feeling it in my knees. Hoping biking can be a bit easier on the joints in my old age.

That being said, i looked at some bikes over the weekend. Rode a Cannondale Quick 6 ( http://www.cannondale.com/nam_en/2015/bikes/fitness-urban/fitness/quick-sl-quick/quick-6 ) which was nice, a bit overpriced at the store i was at, it seemed more like a compromise. It wasn't really a dedicated road bike or a dedicated mountain bike but the saleman explained i could switch out the tires etc... but that was the only bike they had in my price range so I'm going to do some more shopping this week. I did like the fact that I could just put around the city with it, afterall im not looking for a dedicated super-fast race bike I want to enjoy just riding someplace instead of driving also.

As for the sweet lycra and tights, yeah not sure about that but we'll see.

Also when asking about the size of the bike i was riding the salesmen just said it was a "large" I thought they were sized in cm? Or is the general sizing of S M L just for entry level bikes?

That is exactly the kind of bike I had in mind for you, based on your comments. One thing to consider, and I don't want to dissuade you, cycling is not necessarily good for your knees. For those that ride hard/for a long time it is the number one complaint.

I second Brandon's comment about lycra. It's a process, everyone that get's into cycling goes through it. Might as well skip the awkward phase of wearing jeans and a BMX helmet.

As for sizing standards, it varies. Most mt bikes are s/m/l, but there are some brands of road bikes that size the same way - Giant for instance. They are the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world..

  3. As an avid mtb rider I completely disagree about road not being fun. A road bike will be much more versatile and readily available, not having to rely on trail conditions etc. Road riding provides a level of self-challenge that is similar to running. Cyclocross bikes have a very specific use and you can find other styles that are more suitable - i.e. an upright hybrid bike. IMO he should look into hybrids. Way different than a cross bike.
  4. I have Audi Drive Select, but that doesn't necessarily entail that I have the Audi Dampening Suspension. Confusing I know, I have been reading through the Audi forums and people say less than 20% of people actually ordered it that way. I'll see a dealer in the next couple days and have them pull my build sheet.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. There will be an adjustment for suspension in the ADS settings if you have it. Pretty much the only way to check it, or have the dealer run the VIN. Mine has it.

  5. I don't believe it has the ADS, but how can I check? I was looking at the HR OE Springs too

It's in the individual settings, if you have it it will be listed as an adjustment. And you can feels it in your butt when it's in dynamic.

  6. Should I move this to the for sale section? I'm not sure if you're looking for advice or looking to buy from someone here

I should have been more clear. I'm more looking for advise, but also open to purchasing from someone on the forum.

  7. I recently (last spring) took apart my Winchester 1500 to a degree that it's not worth trying to put back together. That said, I'm in the market for a pump shot gun. Looking at the 870 because of the availability/reliability and name. Would mainly use for sport i.e. trap, and possibly some pheasant hunting. Also would want to keep it handy in the house for personal protection. What model/barrel length should I be looking at? I obviously don't want a tactical length, but I'm not sure I want a full 28" or 30" barrel either. I also like wood stock vs. composite.

Is there anything else I should be looking at? I'd consider buying used if anyone has something in great condition laying around.
