    It could be that the belt is old. How many miles does it have? Does it look like the original belt? The noises could be caused due to the timming jumped therefor the cam(s) were out of time. The 2 has non-interference engines. There should be no damage to your engine if the timming jumped. I would just replace the belt, time it then start it up.

    Humane society has them. We got a 65 lbs Rott mix from them. $75 for lisencing and stuff.
