Actually, the trailers are where you can get some of the best tacos and other quick Mexican food. The ones near white people bars at 2A usually aren't as good as the ones near Mexican population areas serving workers during the day. I had the same reaction when I saw it. Had just been there a couple weeks before. Try La Michoacana, I think they do the best tamales in the city. I've heard really good things about this place, but haven't been yet since I got thin and don't eat out much anymore. It's near my hood, I need to suck it up.

Too bad El Mariachi on Morse Road closed a few months ago. They're the most authentic I've had here. Second would be La Michoacana on Cleveland. They have a few other locations, haven't been to any other. It's a Mexican grocery with a small restaurant in the back. Warning: it's not in a nice neighborhood and the Mexicans will stare at you, but don't be a wuss. (for those of you on the east side, the El Mariachi on Main or Broad isn't the same, but I have heard a couple good reports about it)
