  3. Is anybody a transmission expert? Anybody ever use an adapter plate to bolt a tranny on that wasn't supposed to fit from the factory? I have a Chrysler Conquest with an automatic overdrive transmission. They are known to be weak and if you add BPU's you are certain to break it. Usually the 1-2 shift kills it. I know that Chrysler imported a Mitsubishi and called it the Fire Arrow in the late 70's early 80's. The Fire Arrow had a NA version of the 2.6 liter 4 cyl engine that my Conquest has but instead of this weak JATCO tranny it had a Chrysler 904 with a "custom" bellhousing? I am not sure what was done to the bellhousing to make it fit. So...to summerize..I will break it down into 4 questions. 1. Does anybody know anyone with a '79ish Fire Arrow? 2. Does anybody know if the 904 came with a removable bellhousing OR if there were different "castings" for the 904? 3. Would the 904 stand up to 350HP/400lbft torque?(No way I would make more than that in the near future) 4. Anybody know anyone local that could make an adapter plate? Thanks for any input, CJ
  4. Thanks for the replies. Everything worked great today but I am sure the problem will resurface soon or later. I will check into the combo switch if it happens again. Thanks again, CJ <--Happily turn signaling again
  5. Leaving work today I discovered that I had no turn signals. They worked fine this morning. The turn signal "stalk" will move but I don't get the clicking sound of the turn signals going on and off and I don't get the corresponding blinking on the gauge cluster to show that a turn signal is active. I am 99% sure that the actual light bulds outside the car weren't blinking either. About 15 minutes into my commute home they started working again. When I got home I confirmed that the actual bulbs where blinking now. Any ideas? I am sure I have enough blinker fluid. Seriously though, any ideas? Thanks in advance, CJ
  6. Forced Performance rebuilt/upgraded my turbo. Very good price, very good quality. Doesn't look like they do very much VW business but might be worth a call. I have also heard good things about M.I.C. Turbo in Miami. Some of my friends have gone through them and they are very willing to work with the customer on specific needs. As far as whether to upgrade or not...that answer is always yes. CJ
  7. Exhaust Gas Temperature I believe. CJ
