Last event to top this time for the season is the LSX shootout, Me and Mark wil lbe attending to race in the street car contest! Congrads goes to Mark, and after riding along when he went 9.34 with me in the car! Those cars HAUL ASS.

From what stand point would you like our government to mind its own *business*; from the point where we try to take from those who have worked hard to become wealthy and more fortunate, or the small business owner who now gets taxed much heavier and cant afford to employ the middle class? Or does the government try and protect us from those threaten our lives, and my safety? From the way I see it, if you cant feel safe every day going to work, or on the weekends going into the Shoe, then whats money even matter. Big brother is SOOO scary, behave and there are no problems. Ill take safe every day, if it means some people get hurt in the process so be it, we all make sacrifices. False accusations are made daily, its sterotyping, I am guilty, and you are guilty. It is proven human nature, disagree if you choose. All I know is I am safe from millitant terrorist attacks, so ill let big brother keep a close eye.

Then vote republican. Pretty easy if you ask me.

No matter your dislike of the GOP, it will win. Simple reason, democrats say we are america we are the working class, we dont have money, ect ect. And really democrats have been bitching for nearly a century for the same reason, we dont have money the government needs to give it to us... And look where they still are poor and waiting on the government to save them. Go DEMS!

Good governments grow, prosper, decline, and then perish. Ours is subject to the same unalterable forces. The decline sets in when any government can no longer correct itself. Ours might be at that stage. It is a joke and everyone knows it. Nobody can do anything to reform it. That is the beginning of the end. It currently is a system custom built for failure. It was built to deal with the excesses of the English Monarchy. It did that, and now it is hopelessly corrupt and inadequate. It is repairable, but the repair has to come from the very people who enjoy the current level of corruption. That isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Nancy Pelosi is worthless, bailout or not, she has done NOTHING progressive as the speaker, expect promote partisanship and her quest at transforming our government to more of a socialist party. She is a big problem for this country, the lack of any bills being passed in the last 2 years is tragic. She wont let and economic bill get passed, engery bill, medicare bill, anything important she opens her mouth to partisan this, socialize this... I can not stand that women! Sorry for the tangent, as for the bailout, it needed to happen, let those scum bags in the upper relm of the banking world suffer, the market will recover, with out their greed.

I enjoy reading all the paranoid responses on this forum... OMG its storming outside, ARMAGEDON ! Honestly if you believe you can only blame president Bush for this current banking crisis, please do me a favor and with hold your vote from the election, because you clearly have no understanding on how this issue needs addressed, and changed. Congress is the issue, big banks with power lobbying, donating to our wonderful two presidental hopefuls. Congress is the concern, with their seemingly limitless terms, partisan voting, back water agreements, no regulations, no finance reforms. So choose your congressman more carefully next time, they installed this mess we are in. President Bush is mearly a scape goat for a democratic offensive, and a GOP rebellion for innocence in public eyes. Ole Obama an Mcain are just jems of men... But I will say if you believe Obama will get out his magic carpet and fly us into economic bliss, it will end in a bad dream. My .02 cents are please do your self a solid. If this issue is truly important to your do the research and investigate both congressmen's policies on the economy, for me their is a clear cut winner, because socialism is not the way, middle class or not. As for the bailout option, I believe the wisdom of Alan Greenspan, if he supports the idea, in the end it will work. He is the reason our country was so successful for the last decade and a half!

Yeah that car is bad. I understand we would all prefer to start with a lower *setup* cost. But for me that does not impact whether its more or less impressive. Safety is important, we are not frowning on these particular cars having cages and chutes, but just like Jason mentioned already, there is a difference in a 2007 Corvette safety standard, and a 1967.

That car is awesome, but SO different then Jasons its nearly un-compairable! Im also confused on how it makes it better that its a non Z, the car has a 402 or something which is not stock... So if your swaping everything anyway how does it make it better lol. But I understand kinda what you mean. I understand it has IRS, it also has a 2 step launch control, much taller tire, its tubbed, it has a chute, proper cage, its a RACE car, and we are gunning for these times with a street car . The author of this blurb, is nearly as dense as it comes. I don't mind those whose opinions are swayed by some tom and jerry posting on the internet, but honestly this is outrageous. History lays a path to the future, and with out our service men and women where would we be today? Certainly not the worlds most powerful country. To say a soliders capture is mearly a scapegoat for blame is damn right frustrating to me. A person who is trying to better your way a life, a person who believes in the ideas our country was founded on, that is a person you should respect, no matter the cirumstance (to say their failed mission is a cause to abandon them is just incredible, and claim there caputre is just a burden... amazing), they are trying to maintain the standards of life we have more then become complacent with in this country. Hero or no hero, McCain and all other veterns wether they *failed* their mission or completed it deserve the same respect. A hero is more then just a life saver, although its a very lehman term these days; a hero is defined by a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities, not just in this simple cretins eyes as a life saver. Maybe I am a little to jingoistic, but that quote just set me off.
