  1. CLINCHED!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/CBJPlayoff.jpg
  2. 1. He spoke with the wisdom that can only come from experience, like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it. 2. They lived in a typical suburban neighborhood with picket fences that resembled Nancy Kerrigan’s teeth. 3. She caught your eye like one of those pointy hook latches that used to dangle from screen doors and would fly up whenever you banged the door open again. 4. The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn’t. 5. McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty Bag filled with vegetable soup. 6. From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you’re on vacation in another city and "Jeopardy" comes on at 7 p.m. instead of 7:30. 7. Her hair glistened in the rain like nose hair after a sneeze. 8. Her eyes were like two brown circles with big black dots in the center. 9. Bob was as perplexed as a hacker who means to access T:flw.quid55328.com\aaakk/ch@ung but gets T:\flw.quidaaakk/ch@ung by mistake. 10. Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever. 11. He was as tall as a six-foot-three-inch tree. 12. The hailstones leaped from the pavement, just like maggots when you fry them in hot grease. 13. Her date was pleasant enough, but she knew that if her life was a movie this guy would be buried in the credits as something like "Second Tall Man." 14. Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left Cleveland at 6:36 p.m. traveling at 55 mph, the other from Topeka at 4:19 p.m. at a speed of 35 mph. 15. The politician was gone but unnoticed, like the period after the Dr. on a Dr Pepper can. 16. John and Mary had never met. They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met. 17. The thunder was ominous-sounding, much like the sound of a thin sheet of metal being shaken backstage during the storm scene in a play. 18. His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free. 19. The red brick wall was the color of a brick-red Crayola crayon.
  3. http://www.geckoandfly.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/dot-illusion.gif ...what's the PM about?
  4. Can I enter my g/f's shoebox on wheels (reads: Honda Element) in the action?
  5. Rarest year for the Camaro (until '10) and it would look soooo much better with different wheels.
  6. 'You are now mocking me and making me look ridiculous. Just say, "I love crepes."' Oh...sorry, wrong movie.
  7. Wait, where are they building this? Across from Shell? edit: Just looked it up. Didn't know they put one in there.
  8. Looks hilarious. "You must produce a lot of milk"
  9. What the holy hell happened in here?
  10. Rob, everything I've read about the high-nickel casting blocks has been pretty positive. What issues have you seen or ran into personally when dealing with this style block?
  11. 3970010 is the block you want to look for IMO...4 bolt preferably. These are both 4 bolt main engines. The impala most likely isn't.
  12. http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/1108897744.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/1095817085.html Install either, beat the shit out of it, and enjoy for cheap.
  13. Finding a good core 400 takes some searching. I drove to Youngstown for my 509 stamped 400. You can find some "decent" stroker rolling assemblies online for not too much money (depending on what your definition of "too much money" is).
  14. Big cube SBC & powerglide in an FC...hmmmm
  15. Exterior dimensions/mounting points are mainly the same on the blocks. Stock heads may be drilled differently for different accessory options (ie A/C etc). The block will probably be ok (depending on it's condition) for a rebuild, but you'll definitely want to get a better set of heads than what came on an '83 Impala if you want to achieve the numbers you mentioned in the first post.
  16. Pretty sure in '83 the optional 305 cu in V8 was rated at 150 hp. The 350 in the '83 Impala was only rated at 105 bhp (not the most sought after for SBC performance builds).
  17. Too bad we already passed 190 in the "count to a million" thread.
  18. What car are we talking about? HP ratings for cars with SBC's vary quite a bit depending on the car.
