When I installed my setup, I wanted to be able to play the iPod thru my Eclipse as well as charge it. I used the following equipment to charge mine and connected thru the aux input on the headunit. Using the equipment below, I cut one of the power outlet adaptors, grounded one wire and ran the other to a 12v source. I then plugged in the iPod Auto Kit into the outlet. On the plug portion of the iPod adaptor, there is a 1/4" jack which the Monster cable plug goes into. The other end is plugged into the AUX on the back of the Eclipse. The other end of the iPod Auto Kit cable plugs into your iPod. This charges the iPod while it plays.
