I personally like the shifter to be 6in-9in away from the wheel. Any shorter than that and it feels cramped, and any longer is almost hard to find thru multiple sets of corners.

True, but even still, if you look at some sequential shifters, they too are quite long, but the throw is comparable to that of a motor cycle. I suppose as long as you have good power steering... your in good shape with just one hand going down the strip.

you know why that works... because everyone knows exactly where there going. Here, you have middle aged homer simpson look a likes and soccor moms in mini vans brake checking every 30 ft trying to find out how to get where theyre going as they drive a long. -
the shifter should actully be pretty long... its the throw that should be short. Look at Ferrari's... the shifter is made long so that its placed very close to the steering wheel... this allows for your hand to be away from the steering wheel for minimal time during shifting. The shorter you make the shifter, the longer you have your hand off the wheel.

850s are very nice cars. I think Mike (302 Powered) said he might pick one up in the near future. They really are awesome cars... you just have to take a little different approach to modding them than most other cars.

depends on the tuning... a properly tuned engine can make around 300bhp or before you start running into bottom end failures. The power isnt the problem, its the surge torque. Mine is back to stock... im not doing anything with it. All my efforts are going into the Z24 now... which is what the big ubercharger is for :burn:

im usualy pretty tolerant, but im am SOOOOOOO close, to just start wasting mother fuckers with EXTREME prejudice. Its one thing for people to rally against the government for equal rights... its another for people to rally against the government for not giving you enough of a free ride.
