i find it hard to believe that anyone is dumb enough to average more than 90mph up 71. Keep this in mind... and dont ask how i know this... Between exits 100, and 17, there are 11 SHP officers, 27 county mountys, 6 helicopters, and 3 Cessnas. Now if you are doing 120mph on AVG, you would have done the strip in a mere 42min... but for some reason, i just dont believe that anyone is that dumb, and im having a realy hard time getting past that. Well yes and no. If your breaking things, you know your doing your part as a driver. The builder however has to figure out a way to keep te car FROM breaking in the absolute minimum amount of time. (i.e. 2hr... needs to last 2:30hrs) Yes underbuilding is a very useful tool in such situations as my own. Im building the engine to handel 600-700hp, but itll make less than 300. In order to win a race, you have to finish. And in club racing of 20-80 laps... you have to keep the engine alive. Now in drag racing... if your car runs 7 seconds... it only needs to last for 10. So youll make as much power as you possibly can while maintaining a 10sec duability. Its like Top Fuel guys. The engine is built to turn 10000rpm and make 7000-8000hp, but its also built to last a mere 900-1000 crank revolutions under load.

WHO CARES! Compared to some of the shit over there, it would be considerd disposible. Think about it... 15-20k or 15-20mil? Id take 1000 of em over 1 tank. Strength in numbers.

I have a perticular pair of running shoes i ware (ware/wear... dunno which one, i suck.) The soles are thin, and sidewalls stiff. This allows for better fealing in the pedals.

MY PET PEEVE Staging.... Dont do your burnout, then get all full of piss and vinager and light up both sets of staging lights. Light up the prestage and WAIT! Wait for the other person to light up the prestaging lights. Then and ONLY THEN, should you creep, and either light up your second set, or deepstage. This is gentlemens staging. It doesnt seem like a big deal to most... but to the guys whove been around for a while, it is... this is the proper way to stage and should be practiced religiously.

Thats just strait ignorance. Every racecar breaks. Drag cars, LeMans cars, Busch cars, monster trucks, boats, Karts, motor cycles...EVERY KIND OF RACING VEHICAL BREAKS! Problems only multiply when you take a 4 cylinder car thats engine has a stroke that rivals that of a 383, and run it at 6000+rpm for long periods of time w/o any sort of aftermarket internal, fuel, or ignition mods. OEM eco-boxes just arent made to run that way. Hence the reasoning to do a complete build with the best parts i can possibly find for it.

i shoud also mention that OEM motors that i break in this way dont usualy last more than 25k miles

No my cavy is my RACE car... thats all i use it for. Its something i can blow up repeatedly and not care. It like they say, if your not breaking parts, your not A, making enough power, or B, running hard enough.
