Saw a brand new bos 302 at the swap meet today shit was hot, however gonna get this running befopr I buy one. Next winter big motor boost and a solid rear. straight line car. no front sway either.

Here are some more shitty pics of the car getting torn apart and the motor apart. My first time taking apart this block and I mixed up the pistons and rod end caps... I had no clue you were saposed to keep them together. Oh well you live and learn. The block was correct along with the heads however the pistons were pre 87 witch meant they were flat top, Now I could of used that combo but I already fucked up the rod end caps so I will be picking up a set of Pistons and Rods from Evil Notch the correct ones with valve releases on them later this week. Take them get them balanced and call it a day. Paint the block and the heads And open up the trans to see whats up with second gear. So far this project is awsome. Taking a lil more money than exspected but Im staying on track with it being a stock motor. Drive up to Marion and pick up a 4.10 gxl rear diff hopefully. This will be in there until I can get the 8.8 up in there. Maybe by that time I can do it myself... I need the rotating assembly in the short block, Must be 5.0 ho from 88-91 Must have valve releases on the pistons. I just need a stock one also no .30 over. A good tune will let you ride out on ease, Put that money twards a boss block;) That wont help when you block busts open at the 330 mark.

If your going 302 you might want to get or take my old block off your hands and when you get your grannys sub frame witch I think thats what your doing you can lower the subframe with some fab work so you can fit a TurboII hood on you car and shut the hood.... Trust me might as well do it now then have to wait. If I were you I would get a bare block when your subframe is in and then build some mock up boxes as to where and how tall your carb will fit on top of the blaock and go from there, unless you want her to hang out the hood. if yo evict her dont forget to put her stuff away in storage and give her written notice, Then charge her everyday you store the sdtuff that way when she takes you to court over it and says you kept her stufff you have proof you were chargeing her and she will owe you. Well I thought the Heads were e7's but I dunno know that I just found out the block isnt e7's... I gonna be workin on the car/block from 830-noon on my break from work. Ill give ya a call or you can call me if you would like. 4195417522. Gonna port the shit out of the Iron heads and a stock cam with 1.7rockers.
