  6. I'm selling my talon to get a supercharger kit for the Bm. The price is 6,000.00 or trade for a brand new supercharger kit for a 98 bmw 540i. For details on the talon pm me. It ran a best of 11.98 last year and comes with enough spare parts to completely rebuild it if needed later plus performance parts that I have yet to install. I will not part it out.

  11. I need some dyno time for my talon now that I have it back. If you're versed on dsm's let me know. I already have a bung welded into my downpipe for the wideband and have a welded center diff. Please give me a call my name is Pete my number is 614-419-5580.
  12. I have my wastegate vented to air and although I can't say it really gave me a performance gain, I will say that the sound it makes at w.o.t. is pretty damn loud and distinct. If you want to check it out come out on Friday night sometime and i'll let you check mine out. I have a dark green tsi just like yours.
  13. Be very careful when modding this car since Mitsu. is going to be strict about waranty. BOOSTME seems to have the best suggestions so far, you should listen to him he is very knowledgable about DSM's. As far as a blow off valve that should not be on your mind for a while yet. I'm not sure if Mitsu. used one similar to the first or second gens., but if it's like the first gen. DSM's you will not need to replace it at all. I will be running my stock one well into the 11's and many others have run them into the 10's and even 9's. Do a little more research on your car to find out what it shares with the DSM's and you will be able to find out what will and won't be needed to go fast. One thing for sure is that you will not need to replace your turbo for quite a while. You have a bigger turbo than a first gen DSM which will run into the 12's with supporting mods. Good luck with your EVO.
  14. I live near Sawmill as well and the cops are everywhere around here. Oh well the track opens in a month and a half.

    About a Supra

I have had good and bad experiences at Passen, but it's not really fair to say that they can't do it right. There is not and never will be a perfect shop. Overall if you tell them upfront exactly what you want and you're not asking for a miracle they really are an above average shop.
  16. I have a Profec-B and haven't had any problems out of it at all. It's all going to come down to personal preferance. I am impressed with the accuracy of the Profec-B, but that's on my car.

I have always felt that running synthetic on a mile motor isn't always the best thing to do. I use a synthetic blend religiously. My motor only has about 12,000 miles on it if that.
  18. If you don't have meters or a spare pair of wires laying around, simply put your car in a dark garage start it with the hood up and look for any arching this is a cheap way to test for a broken wire. If your wires are old enough that you doubt them replace them.
  19. I'm no Honda expert but from everyone i've talked to the best way to go is build an all motor car it will be much more reliable and probably a much better bang for the buck. Turbo charging a car is not cheap because you must have the supporting mods or the turbo will never reach it's full potential. Just my opinion.
