I dont care what other people do but I wont ride without my leather jacket, combat boots and helmet.. I've had things hit my helmet pretty hard on the road and make me thing damn... that would have hurt if I wasnt wearing this thing. But Im not for nanny laws so if someone wants to kill themselves by not wearing a helmet Im cool with that too its just not my choice.

replace it is.. wasnt sure.. looks like I'll give Marysville Honda a call tomorrow to see how much a new tire will run me

Not sure if its a good idea but i have a tiny tine tiny hole in my front tire towards the middle of my front tire. Not even 2k miles on it so I really dont want to replace it unless absolutely necessary... size is 120/60-17. Opinions?

Where is a place I can take a fender in town to get painted to match the factory color of my mazdaspeed 3 that does a good job and doesn't cost too much.

The thing about making something illegal or banned, is it only keeps law abiding citizens from owning/possessing that current thing. So will dog fighters keep fighting pit bulls if they are banned? yes, they will as dog fighting is illegal to begin with and they have no respect for the law. Will drug dealers put them in abandonbed houses to keep people out stille? yes because drug dealing is illigal and they have no respect for the law. Will it keep a burglar or someone trying to cause harm to a family and/or their possessions? No, unless that family fights dogs or deals drugs. Good dogs belong to good owners. If the owner is a bad owner they will have a bad dog regardless of breed. Pitbulls are very loyal dogs that love and will do anything for their owners. Unlike some other breeds. Im probably going to attempt to change the plugs and clean the carb that way both bases are covered and im sure it needs it anyway as this thing has practically sat for two years.

the main diff between the 600r is that the 600r was carb and has analog gauges, the R6 is fuel injected and has digital gauges... i should have went with the R6 bc I dont know much about carbs and every car I have worked on has been FI. But I guess I get to learn about carbs now And all fuses are good.. I really think the carb is gunked up since its been sitting I just need to learn how to get to the carb and how to clean it properly and I suspect I'll be OK.. But I did pick up a spare set of spark plugs just in case they got fouled somehow

I have new plugs just in case..... but i dont see an easy way to get to them and i dont want to take too must stuff off without a manual

I took it out for about 1 mile earlier this year. It ran groggy at low RPM's but once it hit 3k RPM it ran fine. But it has sat for awhile. I didnt get to take it out much last summer because I was deployed until August. Anyone familiar with accessing the carb on the Yamahas or are there any online service manuals I can refer to in order to clean out the carb? The petcock is on. I believe thats the on/off valve on the bottom of the tank? I did take the tank off and the air box and everything looked clean underneath it but I didnt go farther than that. A couple days ago I added so sea foam to the gas but it really hasnt helped at all.

I think Im getting a spark because every once in awhile it sounds like it wants to turn... Petcock? Im not very knowledgeable about motorcycles. As I got the bike mainly forseeing the gas prices getting out of control. I guess its time to learn. But I havent changed anything since it last started.

I have a 2005 Yamaha YZF-600r. It only has 1900 miles on it and wont start. The engine will turn. I just changed the oil and it has fresh gas. I was wondering if maybe the carb was gunked up or maybe the fuel filter was clogged but with so little miles I doubt it. Any suggestions?

And those were easy to roll with the stock engine in it...

I have a 2005 YZF-600R and was wondering what you guys recommended for saddlebags/luggage containers. Thinking about taking a road trip sometime this summer and I need more storage than just a backpack. Also is there a good place online to shop for these kinds of items, I never really looked.

My bike has been in my parent's garage all winter and I'm trying to get it started so I can ride it when the weather gets nice these coming weeks. Anyways I have a 2005 Yamaha YZF-600R its carbeurated and only has like 3k miles on it.... the battery is fine and sounds like it should crank as normal when i push the button... any input would be great.. this is my first bike and the first time it has set over the winter... there was about a half tank of fuel in there and i put some fuel stabilizer in it before i put it in storage as well...
