  1. Anyone looking for a low mileage LS1 for a helluva price (I think), I found one searching on Autotrader just for the hell of it. It's a navy blue '98 Z28 A4 with 11k miles for $12,795. The car is in Lima, OH. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=212304154&dealer_id=86719&car_year=1998&model=CAM&num_records=&make2=&start_year=1995&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=used&distance=75&make=CHEV&color=&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=43123&advanced=&end_year=2002&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=75 Just thought I'd pass it along.
  2. Good to hear. I still plan on getting my 'Maro tuned by him. Currently in the process of changing some things around on my car, and when I get that and some money together, I will get in contact with John. BTW, what setup are you puttin' together this winter, Paul? Are you still goin' turbo?
  3. I thought you were referring to something else when you said connectors. Yes I meant sub frames...lol my bad.
  4. It's a given that the 'Maros sell for less than the 'Birds. I've seen LS1 Camaros with around 85k miles sell for around 6k. I've never seen an LS1 'Bird sell for less than 8k. I'm an f-body guy, I'm not one sided on either car, so I'm just stating the facts. I wish I could have afforded the f-body I wanted...I wanted a Formula Firehawk/Formula WS6/Camaro SS...but I'm happy with my Z28. It just doesn't look as good as the premium models. Things to check for...see if it has RPO code "GU5"...if so, it has 3.23's...if it has "GU2", it has 2.73's. It looks like it has every option except leather...it has t-tops, RS appearance package, power windows/locks/mirrors/seat. It's definately worth a shot. EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't know it was a T56..so the only gears it would have is GU6 with 3.42's. Lol, man I feel stupid. Hey Aaron, you should trade your truck for this man.
  5. Yeah, definately get a TA and get SFC's too since I see you didn't list them with your suspension mods. They both will do good to aiding in traction.
  6. Unless the muffler itself weighs 100 lbs. What suspension mods do you have? SFC's and an aftermarket TA will help in the traction department too if you haven't done them already.
  7. I guess we're trying to figure out a meeting spot. I've suggested a few and I want others to suggest places, but it seems like nobody is really interested. I just wanted to start this for fun, but it seems this tread has turned dead. lol.
  8. I don't know Amy all too well, but I have met her a few times. I know she has two black Mustangs, one a SN95 style (i believe a '98) and the other a "new age" one (i think an '03 GT). The '98 sounds like what your describing, but I dunno if it was her car or not.
  9. We can try that place if you want. I've been over there a few times, it's usually old farts and they see a younger guy drive in and its like they turn their nose in the air...or so it seems. They usually have their meeting there on tuesday/wednesday nights though, so friday they probably won't be there. That's cool with me if it's cool with everybody else.
  10. Alright guys, lets decide on our first meeting spot. We can meet this friday or saturday night. Lets decide on a spot and i can pm everyone whos replyed and let them know about the where-abouts.
  11. Alright guys, lets start naming some good spots here to meet up at. I've already listed a few in GC... *Kroger parking lot off of Hoover and 665 *The old Sears Hardware parking lot on Stringtown (people already meet there occasionally) Let me know of any other spots around this area (GC, Galloway, Hilliard, London, Harrisburg, etc.)
  12. Alright, cool. What's your name and I'll add you on the list. Let's get some possible meeting places together too, guys.
  13. Alright guys. I'm hoping some more people will reply and say that they will meet. Let's start listing some possible places to meet at on the southwest side... Grove City: *Kroger parking lot off of Hoover and 665 *The old Sears Hardware parking lot on Stringtown Those are some places that I know of in GC. I can't think of any others in GC or any other surrounding areas. Let me know. Thanks.
  14. Yeah...I want to hang out with car people on my side of town. I know that I said that and that's the whole point of this thread. IPS is no longer having meets. Do you understand that? That's why I started this thread, but yet you keep bringing up IPS as being close to me, which I know they are. I've started this thread to get a new meet started. Do you understand what I'm trying to do? I like to race too. What's so wrong about having a car meet and having a good time with other gearheads and racing afterwards?
  15. Let's keep this on the subject of matter, a southwest Columbus meet. Either your in or your out of this southwest Columbus meeting. No disrespect meant to Renner or IPS, I just want to keep this thread on topic. I feel bad though by everything that happened at/to IPS. My brother told me about the 10 or so "wiggers" that beat up one of the managers at IPS last saturday night as he was there. How lame, and what were the so-called "gang bangers" even doing there? I'm hoping for some more people to respond. If your on the southwest side and your reading this, please reply and join our meet if your a true car guy. I would like to make this a fun event for fridays and saturday nights.
  16. That would be cool, Aaron. It'd be nice if we all met up there and had a nice cookout before the cold weather comes.
  17. Yeah. Did you not hear that IPS is not having any more meets? How about I call you "smart guy?" That's why I wanna start up a group meet on the southwest side since IPS is no longer having meets. Damn, how hard is that to understand? You in?
  18. That would be sweet. I don't understand why Ford went away from pushrod engines. Wonder if they will ever make a pushrod engine for the Mustang again?
  19. You in? We can all vote on a place to meet up at once more people start to get in. Also, PM me guys and let me know if you don't want to reply to this post.
  20. No shit. There may not be another IPS meet this year since all the trouble they have been having. When did I say IPS was far away from me?
  21. How do I have an attitude? All I'm saying is your singling out everyone that doesn't have a fast car. Some may not have a fast car, but they still like them. I probably have the slowest LS1 in Columbus, but I still like fast cars. So I'm not allowed to come and see some races because I drive a slow car? And I am an active member. Just because my post count doesn't show it, doesn't mean I'm not. I read here more than I post.
  22. I never said IPS was far from GC, because it's not. I've been up to QS&L at Polaris and on the east side a few times. I just wanna meet up with some people on my side of town, that's all.
