  1. I want to know if anyone on here from the southwest side of Columbus would like to gather at a meeting place for friday and saturday nights, whether your into domestic or foreign cars. Anyone would be welcome to come, but I'm mainly targeting Grove City, Galloway, Hilliard, Harrisburg, Orient, Commercial Point, Ashville, London, West Jefferson and surrounding areas. If anyone is interested, reply and let me know. I don't know how many times my friend Aaron (91Formula) and I have driven around on the southwest side of Columbus and haven't seen anything. I'm tired of driving way up north just to bs and see the local cars. We used to have a meeting place in Grove City at the Park N Ride on Stringtown, but cops drove us out and we are no longer allowed back on it's premises unless we are using the lot for what it's for...park your car and take the bus into town. Anyways, just wanna meet up with some gearheads and talk cars. Let me know if you are interested and let me know on a place to meet up at, most likely in the middle of all the cities listed above. -James P.S. If you reply and wanna do this, let me know your name and what you drive and I will add everyone in this post who will be going out weekly, that way we can basically know and expect who will be going... 00 SLVR Z - James - '00 Z28 91Formula - Aaron - '91 Formula TBI Gearhead - Rob - '90 Mustang LX 89mark - Brad - '89 Isuzu I Mark DuffGTP - Jason - '98 Grand Prix GTP Maro - Steve - '69 RS/SS; '66 Cutlass F-85 Lowered_93_SBC_S10 - ? - '93 S10 BLUE BY U - George - '04 GTO s13 - Jake - '90 Talon Just2Sweet - Steve - '92 RS
  2. What does not having a fast car have to do with having a meeting? Not everyone has good paying jobs and can afford a fast car or mod a car even. My Z28 is not nearly as fast as what I've seen at meets, but that doesn't stop me from still going and talking cars. And what does post count have to do with anything? I've been a member for over a year, I'm sorry I can't post 5+ posts everyday.
  3. I think we should meet in different spots each weekend, that way people from far away doesn't have to always drive long distances for a meet. Each Friday/Saturday night, we should have a meeting "Around 270" for a month. One in Grove City, then traveling around to Hilliard the following weekend, then up to Dublin the next weekend, then over to Reynoldsburg and finally ending up at IPS the final weekend of the month. We should do this on a monthly basis, pick/vote for a spot for each city for that weekend and just repeat the process every month. That way, we wouldn't be going to the same place every weekend and it would give people a break on travel time.

  5. I saw this on LS1Tech and thought I'd post it here. I think it's amazing that the two drivers lived. http://www.tbo.com/video/xml/MGBWYBEZ2SE.html
  6. **************CONVICTIONS************** C1 IN-STATE CONVICTION COURT: FRANKLIN CO MUNI COURT COURT CASE: 6115739 OFF. DATE: 02/12/2006 CONV. DATE: 02/23/2006 POINTS: 02 OFFENSE: SPEED 056 MPH IN A 35 MPH ZONE ***END OF DRIVER RECORDS*** Was driving late at night down Holt Rd towards, I believe the road is Big Run South. I guess I was going 56 mph in the 50 mph zone, but I let off the gas going into the 35 mph zone and the cop was sitting by the middle school there (can't think of what it's called). He turned on his lights, pulled out and pulled me over. There was no traffic what-so-ever. I was thinking he was going to let me go since it was like 2 am, but he was one of them stuck-up cops who went by the book. Anways, I was going to go to court and try and fight it, but never got around to it. Got caught up with work/school. Aww well.
  7. Your truck ain't shit Aaron. My truck would do summer-saults around yours. haha just playin. Did you get the Bird runnin yet?
  8. Thanks for the heads up Paul. I now am going to go to John for my tuning.
  9. I believe he was talking flywheel HP.
  10. Welcome. Nice car. I've got a '00 Z28 A4. Hope to see you around sometime at Trails or a cruise in.
  11. NVM, I guess when I get to a certain post count, I can change it on my own. At least that's what I'm guessing.
  12. My current member status is "Riceboy" and I def. don't want it to be that. How do I change it. I was viewing other profiles and everybody seems to have different ones. I sure as hell don't want "Riceboy" as my member status. Thanks.
  13. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2054711 Just took the pics today. Have been waiting for this rain to clear. I'm not the best photographer, but these are pretty good to me..lol. What do you think?
  14. Don't forget the Mach 1 and the S281 Saleen. I don't remember a Cobra Z06 or a GTS. They also had a GT-R which was a concept.
  15. AutoTrader is a good site. I used it to buy my car. If I were you, I'd put out the money for the LS1. Not only does the LS1 look better, but performs better as well. I can look you up some if you want. Just let me know how much your willing to spend.
  16. Are you talking performance v8's or the v8's they used in the 1500/Silverado or Tahoe. I'm not too sure about the HP ratings for the v8 trucks. 87-92 L98 (Camaro and TA) - 225 HP 93-97 LT1 ( Camaro and TA) - 265 HP 98-02 LS1 (Camaro and TA) - 300 HP These are just averages at best. Some dyno more, some dyno less. The Vettes obviously have a more HP, but their HP varys in ratings. There are the LT4 and LS6 as well that was used in the Vette, but those vary in HP.
  17. Nope, those are the only mods I've done right now. My next project is my true duals and that's what I'm working on now. I'm buying everything piece by piece. Once I buy everything, I'm gonna have a muffler shop "fab" my true duals with LT's.
  18. Nope, not me. I will race you if you want to.
  19. Oh, thought he was talking to me. My bad, blownGT. lol, i just speel it how it sounds, obsurd...absurd...lol, thanks for the spelling correction.
  20. I was just offering my 2 cents. It wouldn't be that expensive to drop one of those engines in there. The LS1 is a common engine to swap. People are doing it with 300Zx's and Rx7's nowadays. Most people are doing it with classic muscle as well. If you read my post, I said "repair the original engine." If that doesn't pan out, then go to a junkyard and get a "LT1 or LS1." Repairing the original engine would be #1 on my list. It would make the car worth so much more in value. And 99blownyellowgt, to say I know nothing about cars is an obsurd comment to make.

    New guy here

    Nice car and welcome!
  22. Horsepower is overrated. It's what your car does at the track that matters.
