Watcha got? I surf the internet pretty much primarily. Needs to be complete with no missing keys, doesnt necessarily have to have a battery that holds charge. Nothing to old and in decent shape.

I have no idea what this means, however if I did would I be able to do it even if I cant get the computer to do anything past letting me attemp at turning it on? I click safe mode or last known configuration or any of them and it just starts scrolling through a bunch of stuff, then pauses and repeats me back to the same screen where I can try safe mode again. I guess I am asking how would I get it to work, would it automatically run the cd after I put it in? Update, screen is back on.

Laptop is a lenovo 3000 n200. I have had it a few years but a few days ago I registered it with lenovo to get updates. Last night it just shut down in use and wouldnt restart. It would go to the screen asking which mode to start in but none of the options would do anything. I could get to the recovery screen but it wouldnt actually open up. I then decide to pull out the memory card to see if it would do anything and after I put it back in the screen no longer works. ANy suggestions?

Whats it worth? 2000 firebird

Glad I didnt jump on it when I first saw it. -
We have had wow for a few years now. Only minor complaints that seemed to have worked their way fixed. My biggest gripe is the annoying emergency system, my gawd they have to fix that damn thing.

My sons 16t birthday is a month away and I have been searching for a car for a year now with no real luck. His first choice is a mustang which per my request would need to be 1999+ and a v6. Unfortunately the ones I have found in the price range are all sold 2mins before I call. So I found a 2000 firebird, silver body in good condition just needs cleaned, all black cloth interior, automatic, interior needs cleaned but looks to clean up easily. Has t-tops, v6 motor, the bad thing is the engine is blown(states owner). I dont know this to be a fact and if I can get over there with Cordell, we might try to figure it out. The seller is firm on $2k. I dont know how much these motors go for if it is blown or where to look, how hard it is to replace or what. I certainly dont want to spend a fortune getting it going as I avent received a paycheck in 2 months nor know when I. I was kinda hoping to stay around $2k all together but I will consider it if 1. It will be worth what I have in it. 2.What I have in it isnt a small fortune. Thanks

Boats not kept indoors regularly are subjected to needing things like covers more frequently. The last custom made cover I payed for was $1200 and it lasted only a few years being stored outside, while my dad has original covers from 94 but pays $1k a year to keep his inside. Of course these are boats that are worth maintaining not just a $500 craigslist special. Dont ever buy a boat that costs more than a grand without testing it and running it through its paces on the water. Any owner who cares about his boat wont have any problems doing this for a buyer. Steap on every inch of the floor feeling for soft spots. Tap all around the transom trying to hear differences in the sound(it will sound different above and below the floor line). Plug in the transom light and make sure it works, check the dates on all the safety gear if its included. Above all else, talk to the seller and see if hes a real boater or just a boat owner. I can tell you almost everything ever done to my dads boat since new. I can tell you every nick scratch the boat has ever seen, who the previous owner was, wher he lived, everything he did to it before we bought it, everything because we took the time to do it all right and this was carried on from the previous owner.

Depends on the boat. A metal boat(fishing boat), if it floats then I would say its more than likely good. Or reverse that and fill it and see if it leaks. An outboard motor, run it on muffs or in a lake and if it shifts and sounds good, I would probably go with it. You could drain the lower fluid and see if it appears burnt or has metal shavings. A speed boat with an i/o motor is a little trickier. You know engines, so at least that part should be fairly easy. The difference is a boat motor has an impellor which forces water into it to keep cool. These wear out and eventually need replaced. I just had one go out the 4th day in the middle of a trip when I was in the middle of the lake. It cost me $300 to get fixed and a big pain getting back to shore with no power and 7 people not to mention my trailer being several miles away with no way of getting to the truck. Boats are made with different materials. This is where its best to research what your buying. There are lots of things to check that are very hard to look at. The transom should be checked for rot(hard to tell since the wood is sandwiched between fiberglass on the inside and gelcoat on the outside. The stringers below the floor and the floor, both are inaccesable since theres carpet and wood above them. Look for any previous signs of damage or repaired damage behind removable panels, compartments, cushions ect. Search for signs of electrical repairs or possible things needing repaired. I really could give you several 100 point checklist of things to check here. I buy boats depending on the boat itself. There are so many things that can be wrong that even the owner probably isnt aware of. A small soft spot in the floor could be a complete transom and stringer rot out costing thousands. This can happen with noone being the wiser. If I found a good boat that ran, flotated and I see in use out on a lake, its really a judgement call from that point.

Is this a joint venture or are everyone employees? Also how in-depth with fabrication do you guys get? Could you fabricate a frame for a 27 roadster if I showed you what I wanted?

Haus of powder, that damn banner attracts my eyes everytime its on the screen. I seen it before any of the ones you listed. -
Cabot makes a nice product. Their product used to be consider very high quality up until it began being sold at lowes. It is kind of like gliddens brand sold at homedepot. Glidden paint used to be great until they attempted to sell the same quality brand at home improvement store prices. Initially it was the same paint offered in their retail stores but over the years home depot found ways to lower prices by cutting quality.

I have what I consider a fairly large deck and can brush the entire thing twice in a few hrs, unfortunately the wife enjoys changing colors frequently. I recommend sherwin williams woodscapes stains to about everyone if someone wants a referral. Unless they change the products around as they typically do, it is sold in solid, transparent and semi-transparent forms.
-
A deck like that and the type of stain you would be using, it is best to brush the entire thing or at most 4" roller/brush combination. 9" rollers will "fizz" up your stain(I assume your either using a transparent, or semi transparent stain. If you are using a solid color stain then you may consider spraying(although that deck is typically small to spray with what I assume sherwin williams will rent which is probably a titan 440 or similar sprayer) or using a larger roller, however I would still just stay with a 4" "whizz" roller. That deck should be able to be completely brushed double coated in a few hrs easy. If say you were staining a fence and using a transparent or semi transparent you could very easily get by with a vegetable type sprayer sold cheap at any home improvement store, and then if you wanted, back brush/roll into the wood. This method can also be used for a deck but at this size its not necessarily needed. Using a sprayer like sherwin williams is very risky due to the amount you disperse into the air. I have seen the paint used enough travel 1/4 mile away resulting in an entire apartment complexes cars needed buffed out. The likely hood isnt very much in your case but after masking everything, touching up after removing masking, cost/time of masking, cleaning out the pump, ect.... its just not worth it on this size deck. Its not like its a surface that is non porous such as aluminum siding, you really want to brush the stain" into" the wood, not have it lie on the surface.

All the people just down for the holiday will probably be leaving tomorrow or left today. The place is so big that its not alot of traffic(on the lake) even during the 4th of july weekend but the water gets alot smoother so the rest of the week will be great. Downside is there wont be alot of boats to play with. Definately relaxing especially where were located looking directly over the lake.
