This should be how its done Turn the vehicle's key to the "on" position. Press the preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time. Turn on the radio. A 10 digit serial number will appear on the radio display, (if stereo was locked up at the time). There will be 10 characters in the radio serial #. A U followed by 4 numbers and an L. followed by 4 numbers. Example, your display will indicate, U5123 L1235.

Holding down 1 and 6 will give you the serial number not the model number. It will give you the first 4 digits and then the second set of four. The code should have come on a credit card style thing typically found in the glove box but if thats missing due to be a used car she may be screwed. Did she wait for the error message to reset(remove battery terminal for 30 seconds for faster reset) and try the 1 and 6 again.

Its just a 2 car driveway IIRC its 18' long by 16' wide. I have to replace that I dont have a choice since its asphalt and its falling apart. I am contemplating adding the 3rd car at an angle to the existing approach. Its a splurge but we will have another driver in a year so it may be best to do it now. The worst part is that I do concrete and cant even do my own work or have access to any equipment anymore. Let me know if you want to help. I can get as many labor guys as needed.
