I meant as far as taking him up on his offer for hooking us up at mad river. I dont want to hassle with going to a ski shop and then returning them.

If timing was better, and it may be in the future, I would love to take you up on this. BUt my niece is coming in from town and the whole family is getting together for a ski day. My dad took my kids sledding at snowtrails 2 years ago and he enjoyed it. Once he make sup his mind on a place, thats it. Change scares old people lol. It will be my 15 and 11 year olds first time on snowboards, however they have both skateboarded for years and I think that should help a little. I am sure the boards that snowtrails has will be good enough for first timers and if in the future they enjoy it, I will look into getting them their own stuff. Thanks for the input guys.

I think its obvious that a persons feelings on virtually anything would be different if in fact they had to deal with it themselves. If a company does something that causes me a problem, when I am paying them to not cause me problems, well I guess they arent doing what I pay them to do. I dont care if someone else in the company causes the problem and I have to deal with a rep now, its all the same company to me. I dont work in a call center because well its not in me to deal with other peoples problems. I have never been hung up on. And my issues are always fixed immediately. I hear on a weekly basis from friends of my wife who want me to call and handle certain situations that they have been trying to get handled themselves but to no avail. You misunderstood if you think that I start a conversation with a rep being mean. But I dont let a rep try to tell me they will look into something and call me back, but mysteriously they never do. I am not spending hrs talking to someone who in reality cant fix the problem to begin with. To me its nonsense.

I would have a hard time buying a house for $200k if it only had an assessed value of alot less. Even if I thought it worth it, I looked closly to see what my house was valued at in case of resale and had an independent assesser look at it to help ensure the values matched. I dont know enough about realestate to know if the risk of having it valued less to save $ on taxes out weighs what it may do at resale time.

We are taking the family to snowtrails here soon and I have never been to one of these places. Our sons want to rent snowboards. My question is do they need special boots? Are these included with rentals? Thanks
