  1. My experience and maybe someone with more knowledge can address,,, I was told to pay cash when I purchased everything but a home. I have always had a credit card with a $5k limit but always maintained a $1k balance(suggested rather than paying off). I have never defaulted or been late on a payment and have had a few smaller loans throughout the years always payed on time. My credit score still does not appear all that great and I feel I have always done right by it. I had no issue buying my home by myself but despite this I still cant figure out the hoops these companies want you to jump through to have an excellent score.
  2. I dont want anyone to get the impression I am in anyway defending this particular vehicles value. I understand there are those who feel that a yukon denali doesnt fair far from a regular yukon, I say the same thing about a trailblazer and a trailblazer ss, I get why they are different and priced accordingly despite not necessarily agreeing with it. In a smaller dealership this would most likely be listed at $9999, I understand that with the size this particular dealership is, overhead is far greater thus reflected in the price. I want to know if people necessarily worry about mileage in this day and age and if so wheres the break. Do you never look at anything over 100k miles as that used to be the standard or if the price is right you dont care if its been to the moon and back.
  3. I have spent years looking for a car, 2months is nothing. I have wanted this since this body style has come out, the prices just havent been there until now. The economy was keeping people from trading them in which kept the prices high. With the newer body style now out and things slowly turning around they are becoming more readily available and at a cheaper cost. I literally check once a month since 2004 for one. At $8k I am a buyer obviously at $12k I am not. I am not looking for someone to talk me in/out of buying this particular car, I am wondering at what value people place miles. I bought my 2002 bravada back in 07 for $500 with 220k miles on it, no brainer for me. At $12k this is a no brainer also but there is a number where it starts to become a possibility. This is not a what would you do thread its a conversation thread about peoples feelings towards miles.
  4. Someone explain to me what this does that a normal weapon does not? Do weapons in magazines need a tool or something to release in california?
  5. John send me details if its a denali but if that price is firm, I dont have that much cash to spend on a car right now. One thing I hate is that there seem to be so few color options with these things. I can find white all day long, black are easy to find as well, but this graphite gray or whatever isnt so common. I wouldnt even consider the 240k one unless they would have come down to my offer of $8k. I did get an email stating they would drop $2k off but its not enough. None of the others I have seen looked as though only the drivers seat has ever been sat in, even it was in far better shape than others. It had brand new tires on it which I am sure were over $1k. It even had the original floormats and weather mats that are seemingly always missing from these things.
  6. Buy the biggest turd you can find and force yourself to drive it for one year. You will appreciate everything after that.
  7. I rarely drive and havent put more than a 2 thousand miles on my bravada in the last 3 years. My wife will be driving it daily but she only drives 5mins to the shop and never breaks 35mph. If either of these werent the case I would never buy something with a 6litre. I have found alot of good deals on carsforsale.com. I would have to travel to get something but the prices are much better than around here.
  8. My wife and I both really like the looks of the denali's. You can set a regular tahoe/yukon(these look identical) next to a denali version of the same year and it just looks better to me. Linn I looked at 2 of the ones you listed and one was beat to hell. The price was right but it was definately reflected by the trucks condition. I prefer the 04-06 models since I cannot afford the 07+, hell maybe I can I have no idea what a payment would be. I prefer a larger vehicle, we used to have a fully loaded fullsize conversion van and I loved that thing. In the newer body style the difference between a denali model and a non denali is not nearly as visible.
  9. Every yukon denali I looked at came with 3rd row in the short version and in the xl.
  10. Dan did I see this in Reynoldsburg last week?
  11. Smaller than I like(looking for 3rd row) and I am only a fan of the newer body styles and rocky's srt8.
  12. Yes 2+2. This is only the 2 seater correct?
  13. I was just looking at this on craigslist. This isnt the 2x2 is it?
  14. I made a serious cash offer of the denali at $8k. I highly doubt they will take it especially since its nicer than you would typically find at a dealership and they sell so quick in worse condition at the same price.
  15. I really like the look of a denali over a suburban any day. I have always done my own repairs this wouldnt be any different unless the entire motor needed swapped. I never claim to be a mechanic but I am able to do 99% of my repairs. The business is sustaining itself, I cannot always let myself be worried about what ifs, I have done that for 17 years at the cost of doing without. Before I die I want to actually drive something I want vs whatever is the cheapest at the time.
  16. Wow I must of had my head somewhere else, it is infact arkansas.
  17. Based on what others are going for in the area(I have even searched search tempest, ebay, auto trader and considered flying to texas for one) the price is fair market for its condition, maybe even lower that it should be. The miles are whats killing it. There is definately a difference in looks between a suburban and a denali. What about a 2012 c6 with 500k miles for $50?, For me it all comes down to the deal.
  18. Seen it/thought about it, but we always said the next car we buy will actually be one that we really like including having the color we want. I am not a fan of the escalades until they switched to the newer body style. We have gone years always buying the vehicle that was the safe choice, so cheap that I could get my money back even if something major went wrong. Its a good thing too because if I had a car payment when I was hurt I would have been fucked. I was literally a month away from buying a new vette(cash) when I was injured and I went without on the car front for years just to buy the car I really wanted. Now that it has been stripped from me, always having the cheap car doesnt seem as appealing.
  19. My wifes odyssey had over 200k+ miles as did my bravada but they were so cheap I could get double in scrap if they broke down after I bought them. I've had the bravada for 5 years now with no major issue and hers for 3. The denali is already priced higher than I want to spend but its so damn clean that if it werent for the mileage it would be in the driveway right now.
  20. 04 yukon denali, like I said, near mint condition from what I can see. I would be paying cash for it and up until now I havent payed more than $600 for a car in over 15 years(that I recall). We really are looking for a Denali between 04-06 but they are really hard to find not beat to hell with alot of miles. We are trying to stear clear of the xl model which is easier to find but even then they are beat. This is a one owner trade-in traded for a new denali.
  21. Been looking for a newer used car in better condition as ours are getting older and were well used when we bought them. Everything we are looking at seems to have high miles. We looked at an 04 suv today with 240kmiles and they were asking $12k. It was in near mint condition but that seems like alot to me.
  22. I believe it is 72762. The auction is up on the 23rd and it would need picked up on the 25th, no later. Let me know how much he would want for his time and material. Thanks
