  5. Igor how much are u paying Paul for alimony?
  6. Take a set of 550 injectors with u and swap them and see if that's the issue
  7. The lb7 is a good motor. Just check how the motor starts smoke on start up, hesitation, duramaxs start fast so if it takes a while to spin the motor that's not normal. Overall should make u a good truck. Straight pipe it and efi fuel mileage tune and it will last. Don't turn it up or ur tranny will hate life.
  8. the newer motors are the LMM trucks and LMN. IDK how much you want to spend but their 30K plus. They have DPF's and get worse mileage. But you can delete the DPF's.
  9. 2001-2004.5 Trucks had the LB7 Motor 5-spd auto. These motor's had injector issues. GM did warranty them to 200k miles though. 2004.5-2005- LLY motor 340hp 5-spd auto. Had an overheating issue (which was more talk than really an issue with most trucks, but the LBZ mouth piece in and issue fixed) 2006-2007.5- LBZ motor 365hp 6-spd auto. Try to get a Pre-emissions truck (early 07 and down) because with the particular filters and emissions bullshit it kill the mileage. Motors cracked pistons at higher hp and tq (if it's turned up). LBZ is the best motor you can get in stock form. As well as the trucks. And you get the 6spd tranny. 06+ trucks came with tow mirrors. http://www.duramaxforum.com/forum/general-discussion/61741-read-first-before-posting-please.html Pitman arm's are weak. The allison's hate EFI live or any high hp programmer. I have a good deal on a 2006 LBZ right now. Crew cab, short bed, white in color. 128k miles. Runs great! 15.50 1/4 lol! $24,950 http://www2.diamondlot.com/dls/inventory/standard/detailxsl.aspx?id=1483795&lang=en I do have a couple d-max's right now. http://www.thecarcompanyonline.com
  10. GTFO GAPE!! Ok 91-92 bodystyle!
  11. its still in the air. the car would require quite a bit more re-inforcement to withstand the torque. where the buicks frame would be eaiser to work with.
  12. I've found a 318 for 500. plus LS1 (stock until it blows up then ill build it) with 6spd and computer 2500 Driveshaft reworked 400 Turbo kit (i have the gate, bov, and turbo, only need piping made) $200 Wheels and tires 800 I could have very small investment in this car. The LS1 is 50lbs heavier than the stock 4cyl. It would roll out Just like sams car, but chevy powered.
  13. Is Igor going to make it rain on da hoe?
  14. #2 is what I wanted to do before i thought about the notch idea. I was going to buy my buddies 318 that was perfect and swap it. (the LS1 swap was actually done very well and documented on another forum. The guy that did the swap has CNC drawings and everything to do the swap and wiring schmatics).
  15. Every modded car is a money pit. The plan is to build this next car and keep it. I don't plan on selling it (unless someone offer's me the right amount once its finished and i can build another one cheaper).
  16. My 3 Idea's are down to this: ( I couldnt see how to make it a poll so can i mod do this for me). 1.) Notchback Mustang with a 03/04 Motor Single Turbo 2.) 88-92 3 Series BMW LS1 6spd Single Turbl 3.) Buick Regal--Convert to GN Clone, Duramax Diesel Swap. Which would you choose and WHY?
