Not sure on the HP figures at the wheels, being that it's untuned, you could always get a little more outta it with some good tuning.

 

As far as launching goes, be easy on it with that 3 bolt rear end, they don't like (or can't hold up to I should say) much beating on. 4 bolt rears are hard to find, and it's an auto, so the final drive is different.

I though if you had the EFI model, you just spliced in some of the B6T wiring harness and bumped up the fuel pump to something better. (In a nutshell, of course)

'88 is Carb, B6T swap is gonna be a lot of work since it's the non-EFI model. festivamotorsport.com has a lot of cheap parts for them though.

I've heard it. I'd have to say a +1 for a loose torque converter bolt.

 

None of the motor mounts seemed loose, though checking them would be a good idea.
