  1. I think my 68 is getting this treatment for a summer or so till I do a correct all over on her. It is stupid easy and pretty cheap compared to just about any other options. Plus when you get tired of it you can undo it in like 30 minutes
  2. If I remember correct they services are in stages and the the stages are priced like this Stage 1 = How much? ... No really? Stage 2 = Bend over with no lube and take this 12 incher Stage 3 = Just leave a blank check and your wife and your first born and 1 kidney
  3. sadly only like 5 people will get this
  4. as much as it pains me untill the coyote come down in price the Ls engine is real hard to beat bang for the buck
  5. The guy in the white shoebox (if a New york plate) is a cool dude, Was on the tour with me last year then he did drag week as well
  6. To fast is for sure a better problem to have than broken for sure
  7. it is ALWAYS cheaper to go fast by buying someone elses car as long as you know what you are looking at and it is done correct and with good parts. Example I bought a running long block with intake and a complete trans setup bell to tail shaft and have spent 1000-1500 on things like alt, power steering, mounts and pullies, and about 100 other little things just to be ready to turn key and at the time I will spend more to fix what other "bugs" arise
  8. ya your total is a cage in to a car what they did was build a cage then put the skin of the body on it (basicly)
  9. The full tube frame chassis alone is big $
  10. Doc you now have the honor of being the first booted from the new track lol
  11. Good luck I can't find interest in guys joining me on the power tour driving their pride and joys let alone a shit box to somewhere you could freeze to death
  12. Jasson it is one of those "if you need to ask" kind of things I think
  13. lol First time I ever met you Doc was at hooters and we discussed that exact car and how you can buy them cheap cause nobody want to pay to maintain them
  14. Wow I must be lucky, the worst thing I have is a guy that lives across the street is so to him self that I never saw him for the first 6 months I lived here and now it will be months before I spot him pulling his truck into the garage and closing the garage door before he ever gets out of the truck. Can't think of a time where I saw more than his shoulders up
  15. Doc if possible can you grab me a rule book? I want to see if I can make the new cage fit both these guys and nhra and run in September and see how fast a phone booth will go
  16. Jason i may take you up on garage space as my 68 is still bare metal and no glass so it cant sit outside
  17. Joe if it is for a returning vet ill fix it for her if she buys parts
  18. Check the clearance on the new pads, I have had many time that the paint on the metal backing was to thick to allow smooth sliding...... Or you have bad hoses or calipers. But both at once it unlikely
