  1. Alright I paid 6400 for this 6 months ago it maybe has 10 hours on it. I have no time to ride and too many toys. This thing is fast not for the "beginner" I added a skid plate before I rode it the first time, it has been well taken care off. Id like to get $5500 but will entertain reasonable offers no trades. 2. I have a fast in my car, though not a dealear for them, I thought about trying to become one, I just havent seen the "NEED" for it so I didnt want to jump in too soon.
  3. This is rational thinking, but not intirely true. Every flywheel is balanced after it is made, for just those reasons, so you can replace them, or you couldnt even replace stock flywheels on stock engines. Thats why the bolt pattern is layed out to only go on one way. If you have to replace it you have to make sure it is with one of the same balance your engine was balanced with 50, 28 or 0 So to answer the orginal question question you should be fine with the new one, as long as its the same balance as stated above. You can also resurface your flywheel without any adverse affects.

  5. I dont know of any formula to give a amount of piston to valve clearence. Anyway with manufacturing tolerances and other variables a formula would never work out right, with out actually checking some things first. Its always recomended to check it, never assume it will get you if you do.
  6. This is a good topic, Id like to see real world results from my own tests, not a magazines. On a fuel injected system, I cant see where as you can go too big on a TB. Even on carbs its not the size that kills anything, Its the metering of the fuel that gets the lazy response. since a carb meters fuel a too big of one will not allow the air and fuel to be metered right. The only thing I can see is part thorttle and exagerating here like 90mm throttle body at 50% throttle is like a 65mm tb at 75%, just hard to modulate the part throttle speed.
  7. Who doesnt need it?? Brian nothing againts you, but its funny you say Dynojet is working on a real loading system, cause they in their sales pitch when I was shoping for a dyno told me, and I quote "All that JUNK is NOT necessary". Looks they changed their tune. lol I have a peeve about dynojet now after shopping for a dyno. Good luck man

  11. Normally and I stress its not always a constant but if there is a noise that goes away when you push in your clutch it is the throw out bearing. I have seen them make all kinds of herindus noises, and they never seem to last as long they should either.
  12. I tend to agree with Brian, after 10 minutes of running it sounds more like valve seals. I am not going to say the rings last forever though Sometimes in a boosted application (which I know you said juice) the boost can actually keep the oil down with bad rings, being there is less vacuum in the cylinder itself. In wich case, still a street car like Brians or Mine drives around under vacuum quite regular, enough to notice bad rings. By the way I can do it if you want it done.
  13. Check the harmonic balencer. Seen those cause some problems.
  14. Could be your driveshaft out of balance, but from you description it sounds like more like a u-joint or the pinion nut comming loose. Thats where I would start givin you've checked the obvious things already. I am assume your talking about your Z-28??
  15. Its going into a "limp" mode. Its running off of extra safe tables. Tables only, someone mentioned ir runs off map and o2. On MAF the there is no MAP sensor its a BAP (Barometric air pressure) Brian to answer your question, look for a vacuum leak. I had a Tunderbird that ran excellent with maf unpluged, turned out to be a intake gasket leak. The headers got red too. (in this case indicating the lean condition)
  16. Run with the big dogs get a F.A.S.T. system. Seriously though if thtas too much the tweecers, and eec tuners are good and might try SDS (I think that is what its called) its a rather simple system so ive been told.
