    And, was never wrecked!...

     

    That was recorded... You still need to have it checked from top to bottom for signs of repair. I've seen nice 'clean title' cars that have been damaged, but no insurance claim and no police report - so no carfax/title proof of crash. Heck, I've had them myself! Fixed off the books by a friend. Used cars are always a crap shoot.

    $475 seems fair...

    If I was to sell it for cash I would need a replacement gun lined up to purchase asap.

     

    that +$50.00 could get you something (in 9mm) I know is available. :)

     

    bump for this G21! Great gun - you can't go wrong with this one!!! If I didn't have 'new toys' here and on the way, I'd already have this.

    if you're looking for something CCW, I've been doing some research lately and as far as I've seen, there is no more demand than for the S&W Bodyguard .380....

     

    I've got a rain check from Gander Mountain for one at $379.99!!! Can't wait for them to get another shipment. This gun feels great and shoots well (for me).

    WTB: A First Car

     

    I'm looking into ideas for a first car. Post whatever you have, along with some information about it, pictures, and an asking price as well. Looking for something under $5k if possible.

     

    Lower the budget by about 3k and find a nice beater for $2K and purchase AAA. 4 tows a year and roadside assistance. Bank the other $3k for the 'second car' or the 'replacement for first car'. I've got nothing I'm selling right now...

     

    This advice comes after having my oldest get his license and drive for 2 years. :)

    "match grade" barrel, interchangeable grip backstraps, ambidextrous mag release, reworked trigger, 4.5" barrel (3.8" compact, as opposed to 3" 4" or 5" for XD)

     

    edit: also, 19rd mag capacity which from what i understand is improved from XD

    Not right now - Thanks for the offer. I'd like to get a 21 at some point, but I just picked up a few new 'toys' and have my eye on another. THe money from this sale will pay for (some) of my next new one! If it doesn't sell, I may be interested in that trade. (But I'm sure you'll have that one gone in no time!)

    I'm selling my XDm 9mm. Comes with the original case, all accessories and paperwork. Also including 2 additional 19 round mags. I've put about 400-500 rounds through this gun. Vance Outdoors price on the box details: XDM9201HCSP $629.00. One 'used' mag and one 'new' mag. New mag price (Vance sticker on package) is $34.99.

     

    Price for everything is $525.00. Located in Pickerington. Must be 21 and Ohio resident. I purchased this gun off paper and will sell it the same way.

    I run BP gas all the time. I've had bad tanks of gas from many types of stations. I never get gas when the tanker is dropping off fuel. Keep the fuel filter on the scheduled maintenance replacement. I also use Kroger and GetGo stations. Bummer you got a bad batch/station, but I wouldn't rule out the brand because of 1 bad experience. For every 1 bad experience, there are tens of thousands of good experiences...

  16. 94 Civic EX Coupe 5-Speed DD/Beater $1100

    Available to show the car starting tomorrow (Sunday) after Noon.

     

    This has been my DD for the past 2 years. It is a beater! Rebuilt title from a rear end accident. Repairs are fair at best. Car looks like crap. Hood is rusted, body, paint and interior are all fair. A/C works with a charge. Car has a laundry list of little crap that could use attention... I've been driving it all the time until a few weeks ago. (got another car to be my DD) This car is not one to be refurbished - just a DD. I've got a bunch of Civics, and this one is just nice enough to not part out - works great as a DD. Going on Craigslist tomorrow afternoon. I think this is a 94 - I'll check the title when I get it out. (Too many Civics - the years all blend together!)

     

    Details:

     

    1994 Civic EX Coupe.

    5-speed

    131k miles

    Rebuilt title

    CD player

    Trunk full of 14" steelies (some with good tires, some not)

     

    Title in hand and can meet at the title agency any morning next week to transfer ownership.

     

    I'll be in and out all day today. I'll check back often to see if there is any interest. I'll respond to posts and PMs as soon as I can.

     

    CR price is $1100.00. firm. Will consider partial trade for PS3 and-or LED/LCD TV... :D

  17. Elder law conact? protecting home from medicaid

    I am not sure if anyone is familiar with this sort of situation.

    Grandma may be going to a nursing home in the near future.

    Want to see if not too late to take steps to protect her assets from Medicaid when/if she enrolls.

    I know about the 5 year lookback in transfers of assets.

     

    Any first hand experience or contacts appreciated.

    Talk to a lawyer. The LAST thing you want to do is make a mistake when it comes to transfer of assets and Medicaid...

    Bleed the system. The cap replacement is another good idea. Start simple and look at the 'easy' stuff first. I've got (and had) many 92-95 Civics and never had an issue with a head gasket that wasn't related to overheating the car first. These cars are very easy to work on, so whatever it is, it won't be bad to fix! Good luck!
