  1. Upon running some numbers it seems the 5 year fixed arm will allow more equity to be built up. On a 30 year fixed, it would be around $840/ month. Over 5 years I would build around $10,000 in equity. If I pay the same payment as I would on a 30 year fixed, but towards the 5 year ARM ($600 + $240) = $840 a month, I will build $17,000 in equity over 5 years. FOr sure I do not want to stay in this house long. I will start to try to sell it once 4 years pass. That will give me a full year to sell and get a new house. What am I missing for this scenario? This sounds too good to be true, please enlighten me. :>
  2. Well it looks like we are getting an appriased value of $180k for the house and the loan is going to be $160k. We are buying it from a family member and getting $20k "gift of equity" or something. I really cannot seem to find an ARM supporter. I am worried about the house bubble bursting, but my understanding is that the bubble is not as big in the Columbus area, let alone Ohio.
  3. Please excuse me as I do not know much about home loans. I am planning to get a house and only stay in it for about 5 years. I am pretyt sure I cannot afford a 30 year fixed, so I am leaning towards interest only loans. I cannot seem to find many people that support the interest-only loans though. I was thinking about getting a 5 year arm at a fixed rate for those 5 years. I would probaly then put the house for sale after 4 years and give it a year to sell. It is impossible to tell when/if the interests rates will go up. It seems they have been low for awhile now and can only go up. Please share any information you think is helpful.
  4. Hello, I am considering buying a house in P-town. I have found that Time Warner does not service that area. Upon searching, I found that Insight services that area. Please post personal opinions from actual use or other ideas. It appears insight has a slower connection?? Any other providers besides satelite? I do not have a phone number to use to search for DSL like on dslreports.com
  5. Hello, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a forum dedicated to the 2.2L Turbo Chrysler engines or related. I know they have been around for awhile, like 1981 or so. I have found a kcar forum and have googled around a little. I may become the owner of a 1985 Chrysler Lebaron GTS with 29k miles on it. It is an auto, but it would be cool to find info about swapping in a 5 speed or anything else useful. I am mainly interested in things that can apply to it. I am open to any other helpful information as well. Thanks for reading!
  6. Found one in Wooster! If anyone knows any in Columbus, please let me know. edit: added link http://www.cryoplus.com
  7. Well so far the 11 sec maxima with his tranny Cryo Treated , Shotpeened , and deburred has not died yet. :> Can anyone help me find a place that is near here that I can get this done? My only options so far are to ship it out. Is this considered "Metal Finishing"? Any help appreciated. thanks
  8. It looks like I may need to rebuild the tranny. Anyone here know of a place that can do Cryo Treatment , Shotpeen , and deburr in the Columbus area? Personal experience is helpful as well. Thanks
  9. I had a Unorthodox Racing Lightened flywheel. I now have a Fidanza. The UR was suppose to be lighter, but the fidenza was lighter. I cannot tell the 2 apart though as far as performance, but both are much better than stock. :>
  10. Thanks for the hookup on my all seasons the day we had that first horrible snow storm. They are working great. This is awesome that you offer deals. It looks like I missed out on this deal. I am looking for some summer tires for my RX-7 225/50-16 rims. Let me know if there is any deals available. :> I have the lifetime alignment from the eastland firestone, I will have to get that done the next time i'm in.
  11. I hope to. If I do it will be at the beginning most likely. You think there will be anyone there that is good with emanage/PROfec E-01 ? I just need help on he anti-stall thing. I seemed to have made it worse.

  14. I may be going Turbo along come spring time. The setup I will get will be running a Greddy Emanage & PRofec E-01 combo. My main question is if anyone here is familiar with what gauges you can connect to them? I really want to keep my gauges at 52mm since my 4 gauge pod holds that size. I currently have a DEFI D-Gauge for Fuel Pressure and Oil Pressure. So I have 2 gauges to fill. Since the PRofec E-01 has a boost sensor and can display the boost, I figure I will not need a boost gauge then. Googling around it appears it is a good idea to get the 60MM GReddy EGT with peak, hold, etc feature as it has data output. I do not want to go to 60mm though. I noticed that thread on EGT and wideband gauges. I am thinking now to maybe get one of each. I am still debating. I was hoping to discover a 52MM EGT gauge that can be monitored by the Greddy Emanage & PRofec E-01 combo. I beleive it is the E-01 that has the input for this data. Any opinions on wideband setups? The Innovate LM-1 seems nice. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/ Also the PLX has some nice setups. http://www.plxdevices.com/index.htm They both have a 52mm gauge! :> Any feedback is appreciated!
  15. Z Tech Transmissions 614-873-1898 They are at the first Exit West after MAG on 161/33. It is part of the GOodyear building. Talk to Jim. Tell him that Mike Spohn (Pronouned Spawn) sent you. I have been friends with his son for a long time. They have down a lot of work on my maxima, but it was not tranny related. I do not know what kind of deal you will get, but I know they are trustworthy and do great work.
  16. Congrats! I just got engaged on December 6th. :> Derek: We were really planning on getting married on a Saturday in September 2005, but then we realized every Sat in September is a OSU homegame. This can present some traffic problems depending on where you will have it. http://ohiostatebuckeyes.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/2005-schedule.html We are going to have it August 27th now. :> Anyone got the hookup on a Wedding/Reception Place? Anyone got a hookup on a florist?
  17. Can anyone find Kinsey the DVD Screener from TheFly ? http://www.vcdquality.com/
  18. I appreciate everyones help! Derek really hooked it up. I am going with a Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. John was very helpful and resourceful. If you need a tire and no one else can find it, he is the man. They are located in Grove City. Right now it is impossible to locate BLizzak LM-22s, but he was able to locate some to use today. Again I appreciate everyones help! Have a great xmas!
  19. OK her cars tires are not that good of shape either. :< I have to get some tires today no matter what. I will give you a call!
  20. OK I got my rear brakes completed, man I did not realize how bald my tires are. I may take a "personal" day tomorrow and seek out tires. So it looks like I would need to do All season then if I get them tomorrow? I have to buy tires tomorrow no matter what. hmmmm unless I park it and take my fiances car to sandusky and then to Chillicothe the next 2 days.
  21. OK just to dig into this a little more..... I would agree that a winter tire in the warm months would see "extra" wear than an all season. Doesn't every tire wear more on pavement? It still seems like a great deal to get a cheap set of snow tires for winter and run my summer tires in the spring summer time frame. Reviews seem to point that the ContiExtreme all season is a great tire that kinda leans more to the foul weather side of things. I am not trying to flame or anything, I just want to see some more debate and explanation/ personal experience on this. Thanks for reading.
  22. oh ok until 8pm, that works better. :> I am going to be replacing my rear rotors, calipers, and brake pads tonight after work on the west side. I am pretty sure I wll run out of time unless I just bring over the rims. If I were to come Wednesday evening after work, would I be able to get it done in time before you close? I am still kinda on the fence about all seasons vs winter tires. You really feel it is best to go the winter tire route? Most people I have spoken to are advising to just get another set of all seasons. Either way I plan to put some spring/summer tires on my rx7 rims. I plan to leave the tires on for the winter season as a whole. Obviously running the snow tires on pavement will eat them up. hmmmmm One of my co-workers is looking for some tires for her 2000 Isuzu Rodeo , there are 245-70-16 on it now and are the stock ones. Is it OK if I pass your names and numbers on to her?
  23. I appreciate everyones help! I am not sure the best time to call, but I will plan for around 11:45am or so. That is a great deal Derek. I am just not sure if I can make it to the east side before xmas. I get off work at 5pm at tuttle crossing, so I think it would be too hard to get over to the east side. Is anyone more near the Dublin/UA/Bethel/Henderson/Sawmill Area? There is a Firestone on Reed Rd. :> I did a search and I see that a Kevin Gagnon works at a NTB in the Sawmill area. I sent him a PM and an email a couple days ago, anyone know if he still works there? :>
  24. Sorry your first reply was not present when I wrote my response. That sounds like a great deal! Should I just get the stock size 215/55-16 ? Which location are you at? I live near Dublin Sawmill Bethel area. I got my "lifetime" allignment at Firestone Eastland. I got my RE950s at Firestone Westland. It was an awesome deal at *** time with buy 3 get one free! Do you leave your tires on the whole season?
  25. I really have been debating this. That is a good point, but I am expecting a pretty bad winter. I guess you never know. I have always used all seasons, but since I have 3 sets of rims now, I was thinking this would be a good idea. I am used to changing tires for autoX, but it would not be fun to change them often outside of my apartment. So since they would be on for a few months, you are correct that there would be a lot of pavemnet use and wear. hmmm I just do not know what I will do. PLease continue to debate. :> I would like to hear from some tire shop people too. 8) Any thoughts on tire size? I have read that it is a good idea to get a narrower tire for snow tires.
