2005 Subaru Legacy..aka “The Ru” CR price $1800 I’ve owned the car for about 4 years, bought it from Rally Pat so he can verify a few things. I’ll list the bad first since you know the price and if you don’t feel like it’s worth it then you don’t have to read this whole thing: The bad: Mechanical 216000 k on it but...you have to read the “but’ in the good May need front brakes and rotors soon..no squealing but some noise when you stop Will need new wipers..why is it the drivers side always seems to go bad first? Outside drivers door latch doesn’t work..inside does One headlight keeps burning out and is cloudy so I use my brights Windshield washer reservoir has a crack in it so you can only get about 3-4 washes out of it Body/Interior Was in a front end accident when Pat bought it, he pounded it out and replaced the bumper. The bumper is missing some parts, has a small crack in it and isn’t aligned well. I’ve been driving it like this..not pretty but is functional. It has the hood thing to hold it up but you have to get it from the car or trunk as the thing to secure it isn't in the engine bay Some very light surface rust on the hood ..various scratches and bumps There was a spot on the passenger seat from where I went to clean another spot and spilled the cleaner on it Well if you got through that and are still interested here is The good: Pat rebuilt the top-end at about 180000. This is what the weak point is but has been taken care of. Both rear hubs replaced when I bought it at about 185000 Cabin filter done at the same time Zero leaks NO cec..srs or any weird lights on the dash R&R the tranny filter and fluid Tires done at about 185000 Oil changes every 3500 miles Battery maybe a year old..maybe less A/C compressor and rear brakes done early this summer I want to say I had the front brakes done very soon after I bought it but won’t swear to it. I’ve always taken care of the car as my son drove it to college and was his transportation up until he bought his jetta last year. Car left me stranded 1 time...when the battery died..hence the new battery. Now it’s our dog transport or gas saver. Car is in GC and if interested you can call me at 614 594 9175. Not sure who brought up the charity idea but I think that is a GREAT idea. Let those that want to help do so and those that do not stop. Yes, I saw the thread, charities are bad (paraphrasing) but then make them more efficient.. Why should those of us who'd rather select who we wish to help be forced to put out monies wherever. We just put our money into a big pot and throw it where the government wants to put it. How effective is that??

Check ebay out it may have what you need...BUT 2 caveats 1) make sure it really does work..check number etc 2) check to see what it would cost to have the dealership to program it I have a buddy who's bought several keys from ebay and has been more than happy plus saved a ton

Kerry, Read a few posts above you don't know me so don't comment about who I am. I will tell you a bit..when you say I received the benefits of the monies from the goverment you are wrong. We are Roman Catholic and as such went to catholic schools..my parents paid for this..all 12 years. My mom and aunts also worked the cafeteria just because The money didn't come easy as I have said in earlier posts my parents owned a bar worked 7 days a week at this to send us to school. Since I was a child of the 60s I didn't go to college right after because it wasn't that cool. Oh yea when I bought my first car I got a loan from my dad and paid him back with my earnings from mcdonalds and when his janitor didn't show in the summer I would get a call to come up to clean the bar with its filthy toilets. It was a red neck bar and that's all I'll say about that. When I decided to go to school, my job paid part and I paid a part..again not free. So all my schooling was paid for.. NOT given. I was such a liberal that I voted for carter because he was a democrat and followed party line down the list. As far as human decency I'm not following some invisible line, I'm looking at someone who has come into the country illegal and is decide to retain that status. That person is a career criminal and gets no respect from me. We use liberal /right/democrat..conservative/left/republican to widely. I feel most that fall into the above have some moderate views, the problem is the ultra on both sides. Those who believe that anything falling out of the mouths from the party they follow is dead on, no matter what they say. My mom and dad were FDR/Kennedy democrats. I grew up with that but as they got older their views changed to a more conservative view, with moderate views and I have followed suit. As a child of the 60s, i wanted to travel to under developed area of the country and help. We had a good income but lived in such an area then all three of us did well in school,and lifted ourselves out of that area and the thought process that we should be handed everything. We've worked hard for what we have and don't want to give it away to others who haven't. I don't understand the whole illegal thing. I'm 2-3 generations removed from family coming over from the old country wanting and succeeding in/to become US citizens. So yes ,if your an illegal either get legal the right way of get the F out. DO NOT give them anything including healthcare,welfare or even respect. Social security isn't broke, under a republican president and democratic congress we the taxpaying residents of the US have became the largest owner of US debt becasue we have "borrowed" against SS.
