Yes, the sludge thing came up quite often. The coil packs seemed ti be a problem 02 and before but appears to have been addressed in 03. How would I check for sludge w/o pulling the pan? Thanks mace

As you all know I was fighting this and still haven't pulled the wheel to check the connection after having the hub installed. I would guess I still have the 1226 &1233 codes, but something new has occurred. The errors always kicked on at 35/37 mph, now that it has gotten cooler 30s/40s the error doesn't kick until after 45/46 mph. Once it warms up, let's say I've taken it a few miles the error has kicked and now it's parked for a few it will then kick the error at the 35/37 mph mark. This to me almost seems like a viscosity thing and not an electrical issue? Has anyone else experienced anything like that? Thoughts?? Thanks mace

The ridgeline is a toy..good for hauling people and some mulch but not for moving anything real. I bought a new 2012 and bought a vtx in feburary. I got a uhaul mc trailer so it had about 900-1000 lbs behind it. That POS struggled, you could tell it really didn't like it mace

I think that you are at a good price point but I think the truck will sell for $1100-1300. The low will come when you are tired of dealing with people and the top will come if you sell soon. At this pp you expect the rust and a few things not working. I'm big on seeing that maintenance is kept up but if i were looking for a beater/dd truck I'd take a look. GLWS mace

You know it's funny reading through these posts. I'm old and anyone who has met will tell you...jezz mace is old. My youngest and I were talking about the old days vs today and I told him it amazed me the stock hp put out by today's cars. The numbers you talk about were only in funnys or dragsters and they were running 9s/10s on good days. On the street if you could get 300/400 hp rwh it was amazing and you'd run 12s maybe on a great day you could breeze an 11.99 and you had to have gears (456s) but that killed your top end. yes it's powering up..gets its power from the connector and it runs through its checks but before reporting I get the link error

just bought an 08 Sierra and about 3 days ago it popped a cel. So I grab my trusty ol reader (probably 10 years old) plug it in ,it goes through it's thing and I get a link error. Turn the key back off, pull the connector and plug it back in assuring it is in tight, hit enter it does it's thing and bam link error Any ideas if the 08 has something weird going on or is it possible my read is shot?
