  1. They will let some stuff slide if you are above 10.00. Its when you get in the 9's that the rules will be applied pretty hard. Which I understand. As for the braking deal, I've seen multiple cars at different tracks get booted for locking up the brakes across the finish line at big bracket races. They will warn once then get booted if they do it again.
  2. Want to say thanks to all involved in getting this event together. 10.60 @ 131. I had problems all day from water pump belt flying off (thanks to Gary for lending a hand to throw the new belt on at the end of the track), to line lock messing up, and eventually the sprayed coolant from the first run taking out my fan relay. Was hoping engine would stay together after throwing the belt on the way home last weds. and getting extremely hot. Guess I can put the timing back to where it was and see what happens.
  3. Was wondering where your car was.
  4. I'm about 5 miles from the track and the rain stopped and sky is decently clear
  5. Paul clearly had bad time feels in his first car. As we get older sometimes you just want a certain moment or a 'way it was' back when you started driving. I sometimes look for a 72 Demon or a 86 Cavalier just for shits. Cavalier went 19.19 in the 1/4 and went to several semifinals at trails (never won).
  6. It's suppose to clear and be a nice day, so hopefully a go. I'm waiting for it to dry up so I can leave.
  7. Hmm, I'm pretty sure this site isn't "a bunch of kids with subaru's". In fact, there are plenty of cars that will make your supra look like your first intro. Good luck.
  8. You have a link to those bulbs?
  9. You don't want that "Stig" helmet posted. It's impossible to look down without putting a hole in your chest. (for any buttons, or any types of changing you might have to do in the car).
  10. Lol wow. Yeah, I saw one at Ricart when they came out. Was 152k plus a $2300 gas guz tax. If I had a car to buy, that would be it. And I'm not a Ford fan.
  11. Wait 2 years and get a Ford GT? (Not sure on what they go for now)
  12. I don't think it looks bad with the hood bra and the bumper bra. I wouldn't put headlight bras on it though, that'll be too much. And if it hasn't been mentioned..........needs the 383 in it. So technically you have a push up hood bra.
  13. The hf and vx are the lightest models of those cars (if I remem right). A crx hf would be very light. That means no power anything in those cars.
  14. Or you could put it in your car and not lose $. And you might pick up a tenth or 2 .
  15. The Vette is a small block car. He also lifted 100-150' out on that run.
  16. They make some nice sidecuts as well ($50). But if someone is trapped in a car those sidecuts could probably get them out.
  17. M3 has a sunroof (insert that movie with charlie sheen and buffy vampire slayer chick). Id go m3 for her and take the extra $ and get you a truck. Think the cayenne would get old and harder to sell down the road if you were to sell. M3
  18. Another thought, why not use a smaller wheel? A 15 or 16" wheel would give you better tire options as well as more tire which would help get the power down.
  19. Better make sure there is no chance of rain on the Hoosiers. Like none. I've had those, and the qtp's (same tire basically except now much wider). Never thought I'd think I might die right now while attempting to drive 30mph down broad st. Even worse when they are 18" wide. So if you're going out on a iffy rain night do not get the Hoosiers. However, they will hook better and will get heat in them on roll races.
  20. No chassis shop should make those "mistakes". I've never seen anything like that come out of PK Race cars. Or a botched chassis cert. You've put a racer at risk, find another hobby.
