I would get it with the bracing. Some people get lucky and get away without it. It would more than likely twist the whole rear, especially on higher rpm launches. It's just peace of mind knowing you have good parts and one less thing to worry about.

And for what it's worth, I've never seen 35 spline break. Even at Dublin 2000hp

In that case I'll help. 35 spline will be fine. Axles are based on weight/hp. At that level, you will be fine. Gun drilled means hollowed inside, hardened outside. No matter the spline.

And "gussets" can come on a 400hp rear. Nothing special there.

Oh, ok sorry. Didn't realize you knew what you were getting into. Considering a axle tube bracing is an "upgrade" in this rear option you are choosing from. In that case, if you break it, you know it wasn't enough. Sorry for trying to help. Seems you got it figured out.
