  1. HK's letter to their 'normal' consumers: 'In a world of compromises, some people put the bullets in the magazine backwards… But it doesn’t matter, because our gun is on the cover of the Rainbow Six video games. Look how cool that SEAL coming out of the water looks… If you buy a $2,000 SOCOM, you will be that cool of an operator too. And chicks will dig you. At HK, we stuck a piston on an AR15, just like a bunch of other companies have done, dating back to about 1969. However ours is better, because we refuse to sell it to civilians. Because you suck, and we hate you. Our XM8 is the greatest rifle ever developed. It may melt, and it doesn’t fit any accessories known to man, but that is your fault. If you were a real operator, you would love it. Once again, look at Rainbow Six, that G36 sure is cool isn’t it? Yeah, you know you want one. And by the way, check out our new HK45. We decided that humans don’t need to release the magazine with their thumbs. If you were a really manly teutonic operator, you would be able to reach the controls. Plus we’ve fired 100,000,000 rounds through one with zero malfunctions, and that was while it was buried in a lake of molten lava, on the moon. If you don’t believe us, it is because you aren’t a real operator. By the way, our cheap, mass-produced, stamped sheet metal guns like the G3 and MP5 are the bestest things ever, and totally worth asinine scalpers prices, but note that cheap, mass-produced, stamped sheet metal guns from other countries are commie garbage. Not that it matters, because you’re civilians, so we won’t sell them to you anyway. Because you suck, and we hate you, but we know you’ll be back. We can beat you down like a trailer park wife, but you’ll come back, you always do. Buy our stuff. Sincerely HK Marketing DepartmentHK. Because you suck. And we hate you.'
  2. Reloading is the way to go. As soon as I get a place to do it, I'm getting one hell of a reloading setup. Fuck paying these ammo prices.
  3. Zing! I don't feel I have to be in the king's exact situation to quote him. The quote fits the cause.
  4. Ah, I thought you were trying to translate. As in, you knew a bit of Greek and couldn't quite figure it out. As far as putting it in my sig: -The way I understand it, the quote is referring to one man telling another to try and take his weapons away. The same could be said for gun crew. However, gun crew doesn't have a famous quote, so we steal his. 'What' is trying to be taken, would be weapons, like the quote was referring. As for the pronunciation, I'm just going off of Wiki. I liked it, so I used it. BTW, how is gun crew's love of it stupid? IMO, it is basically used in the same context, just different time periods.
  5. Yea, I know they're better. I just hate having to learn something new. lol. I really need to get with the program and figure out how to work them.
  6. NewsGroups scare me. I'm downloading the torrent right now as a last resort, but it's not gonna be done for probably another day. Still in for stream.
  7. Links only to NWS pics. http://blog.wired.com/photos/uncategorized/triciahelfercover.jpg -Vince ^^She's on the show^^
  8. Molon Labe Pronounced 'Mo lone Lah veh' Literal translation = 'Come [and] take [them]' Modern equivalent = 'Over my dead body' or 'Come and Get them' Significance = quote from King Leonidas during the battle of Thermopylae to King Xerxes when asked to lay down his arms in order to spare he and his men's lives. Is used in the movie 300. Gun crew uses it a lot.
  9. ...[find me a working link to stream the new Battlestar Galactica: Razor movie. I can't find a good one anywhere] GO!!!
  10. I'm fairly well aquainted with the City of Circleville service department, and their lead guy, who happens to be in charge of controlling, timing, and setting up of all the lights in Circleville. Anyways, I was talking to him one day and he was telling me a story about some guy who had one of said devices. He did it everywhere he went for 4 years straight before they finally caught onto him. Not sure what he was charged with though. I guess the device is actually a strobe light that flashes at a certain frequency, and the receiver picks up on it, changing the street light. I tried to get him to give me the frequency but he just laughed at me. Oh well.
  11. Much better day today. Skipped out on shooting a decent 8pt. due to the fact that I'd have been shooting towards a highway. Ah well. Also could have blasted a small doe that bedded down about 30 yards away from me, but one: she was too small, and two: I didn't want a doe. Funny thing though, I did get to kill something. As I was watching said small doe, she jumped up because something spooked her. I thought to myself, BUCK who's looking to fuck! Got my gun ready, and she took off, I focused my attention on the thickett line where she was laying, and out pops a coyote. I zero'd in on him as he was jogging along. Whistled at him, he stopped. BLAM! Down goes the coyote. Made my day. It was my first coyote and I'd have rather have that than a buck anyways. Didn't get pics because I forgot my phone at the house. Ah well.
  12. I set up a rain shelter yesterday in preperation for the rain. So, I atleast didn't get wet. But, didn't see or hear anything but rain. Hoping for better luck tomorrow.
  13. Decided to sight it in at 100yd. It's dead on at that distance. And you're right about the trigger. It's rough. You've really gotta sqeeeeeeeaze (hard) it to get a decent shot. As long as you do that though, it's perfection.
  14. T-rex isn't supposed to require flycutting. Mine did due to a fuckup on their part, but I cheated and found a way around it.
  15. Haven't tried it yet. Going to site it in tomorrow. According to an online ballistics calculator I found, this is the best zero I could come up with: 50yd = +1.00" 100yd = +1.00" 125yd = 0.00" 150yd = -2.00" Should nail anything in that range fairly easily, I hope. 150yd effective range ain't too bad for a shotty, eh? Will report back tomorrow evening with details.
