  1. No, I did, in my Invisible Car of Ultimate Doom. Here's a pic of it: _
  2. Awesome. So, everyone that is interested in going up there should send me a PM so I know what kind of numbers we're looking at.
  3. Thanks for the invite, but I won't be able to make it - since it's the holiday weekend, I've got plans. Jamie/JP, I'll PM you guys sometime soon to arrange a meet/greet. Don't worry, we'll bring enough cars to make it worth your while.
  4. Colt, no offense, but it's ridiculous when I say it is. Not when you, or Jamie, or Desperado, or Linn, or Powers, or anyone else says it is. Maybe you're just really that eager to get a beatdown.
  5. Yeah, I'd buy DJ's car as well - you know that it's been cared for properly, and it's a WRX, which seems to be the consensus choice here (versus the GSR).
  6. I'm nearly certain that our race will happen this summer. As for when this summer, well, I can't really say. Not that I don't want to - trust me, I'm not trying to be coy or a dick - I just can't provide you with that information at this point. Yet, I can completely understand you guys wanting to nail down an approximate date so you can start planning for the trip. So, believe me, when my car is buttoned up and on the street, I will let all of you know, and we can then establish a date for D-Day. However, until my car is actually buttoned up and back on the street, I can't in good faith give you that date. Also, we know that JP has been out terrorizing the streets for a few weeks now and of that I am very envious - I'd like to be doing the same. And, I realize the implication there - JP's car is now at risk for breaking, and, if that were the case, then our race would probably be delayed even further. However, JP is JP's keeper, so, if he doesn't want the car to break before we race, then he'll need to take steps to ensure that. For the record, though, if his car did break before our race, I wouldn't say one negative word about it and would simply wait for his car to be done to pop off our race.
  7. Will these in any way affect performances in pissing contests? If not, then I'll take three.
  8. Great question. Several of the kits were considered, but most of them were passed on due to (1) a lack of reliable data supporting their use or (2) the limits they would impose on performance (e.g., HP). I gave serious consideration to LPE - which, we'd all agree, wouldn't be ruled out by either (1) or (2) above, but opted to not go that route for several reasons, including (a) my desire to keep my money in the local economy and (b) my trust in IPS to provide a product that would essentially rival anything I could purchase from LPE. What IPS has done is research all of the kits that are out there and designed a set-up for me that optimizes efficiency, safety, power, aesthetics, and streetability. Essentially, the best components of all the established kits were taken and rolled into one. I'm confident that it'll produce and that, after it's completed and the vids start rolling across cyberspace, that IPS will have the Vette guys beating down the doors to the shop wanting the exact same set-up.

This is one of the greatest pics ever. EVAR!
  10. Great overall point - good work takes time, and it should be done correctly before it is done quickly. And, you know, when you think of it, the only person in any position to say anything about this is me, since, after all, it's my car. And I have absolutely no problem with how IPS has handled or is handling the work on my car. I realize the CLE/AKRON guys may just be taking jabs at IPS - which is fine, after all, it's the intraweb - but, for the record, there is no issue with the time/work IPS has taken/done with my car. End of very short, very simple story. So, carry on with the flaming, but make no mistake, nothing is awry as far as my car and IPS goes.
  11. If, by "race," you mean Zavier getting dragged around 270, then, yes, we have a race set up.
  12. Hoblick, I don't think Linn was as much "exposing" Coltboostin as he was just sharing what Coltboostin himself had already made pretty much common knowledge. Also, I don't think Linn has made any recent claims of still having only a cutout and spray. And anyone who believes that is still his setup deserves to get dragged around 270. And, to answer your question, the heads were off in that pic because they were being ported by Jahweh and polished by Moses.
  13. Yeah, Thorne wasn't up to anything shady. It was just some miscommunication, which, we all know, happens from time to time in the automotive community. Everyone in this equation is cool, minus me, because I'm ultra-cool. Kthnxbye!
  14. Replied to your PM. At this point, I'm not sure I can even set an approximate date, even in good faith. Also, IMO, the Colt isn't ugly. Is is, however, again IMO, one of the greatest sleepers I have ever seen. Sleeper, though, is much different than ugly, at least as far as I am concerned.
  15. Fuck, JP, that's fast. Congratulations. Yup, with traps like that, I definitely have my hands full. This should be a very good race. Jamie, no, I don't have any idea of when my car will be ready. Believe me, I want it to be soon, but, at this point, I can't say.
  16. I ran some BFG's on the Vette prior to the Nittos. Hated them. Seriously - they were way to loose up top for me. On the other hand, I've seen 160+ on Nittos and felt fine on them all day long. Anyway, thanks for the offer for the tires; I should probably buy them off you just to use them at the track, since, well, Nittos are just not as good, IMO, at hooking from a dig. BTW, who in the hell is that in that pic? And what the fuck is he doing with a lobster claw?
