p0420 is a catalysts below thesehold code its normally a cat problem, at least in my experiance at lexus, most o2/afs are heater/circuit malfunctions like p1135. look at freeze frame data, do your o2 sensors move upa nd down together like does one mimic the other?

audi a4s have coil on plug and have modules. mine went out 3 times. and it son top of air box. )
