  1. Met people who knew a lot more about cars than I did. Started learning from them some small stuff, then started doing things on my own (oil changes, brakes, suspension, minor engine modifications, etc.). I still don't know how to tear down and rebuild a motor, but I'm sure I'll get there sooner or later.
  2. That looks like it would be an absolute blast.
  3. I totally agree. For someone with issues to control himself is unfathomable. Still should've shot them. Kill them all and tell the cops you saw them shoot the dog, then they attempted to enter the house. You felt you were in danger and were defending yourself. Throw in the "war hero" and he would probably get off scot-free.
  4. Do you guys know how hard it is to shift gears while talking on the phone and drinking a Starbucks?? It's the way of the world. Technology is getting better, majority of people don't enjoy true driving anymore, pure laziness. Pick your reason.
  5. I'll call you tomorrow about the filter wrench.
  6. Sway bars, cat-back exhaust, 30% tint, factory side sill extensions and Redline transmission fluid. Then I'll hopefully be done. If I have to replace my rotors, I'll probably do slotted or something along those lines.
  7. You're never going to let me forget that, are you?
  8. Thanks guys. Glad you like it. Thanks. Took me a long time to decide what I wanted and if I was actually going to do it or not. RBs would've been a good choice.
  9. Nice Goat. I like the new ones a lot, unlike most people.
  10. Welcome back. Nice Evo's. And that GN looks amazing. Love it with the chrome wheels.
  11. I have a BA in Journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University. I was working for a business newspaper here in Columbus, but was let go back in December. Also do freelance automotive writing on the side. Currently unemployed and getting out of journalism for a while or until I get a job at an automotive magazine.
  12. I will probably stop by for a few minutes to check out the cars.
  13. That brunette is smokin hot.
  14. Sucks you had to give up the 3, although you had issues with it, but nice choice. One of the very few SUVs I would ever own.
  15. Thanks everyone. The rear did settle a touch more this past week. It honestly looks better in person. Pictures really don't do it justice. That road wasn't completely flat, so it looks like the rear is still sitting high. I have other pictures from right after lowering it, but they're not the best ones. I can post those if you want to see it. In regards to the wheels, I know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but I love them. They're different from everything else, since most are doing gunmetal/black on their imports. It's a different combination and gets noticed, whether its positive or negative. Sizewise, I probably should've gone to 18s, but I got too good a deal on these with tires to not take them last March. Well, I got it all said and done for under $600. However, I got the springs for stupid cheap from a member on another forum. Brand new, paid $125. If you go to Mazda3Forums, there are some people selling new springs for pretty cheap. The struts and shocks were used with 7k on them for a $350 with 2-day shipping. Cheapest I found on those new was $470. Camber links are still on sale for $160 shipped. If you're serious, I'll be more than happy to take you for a ride in the car to see if you want to go through with it.
  16. Put some new suspension components on my sedan last week. Dropped it about 1.25" or so. Sits perfecly now without being slammed and worrying about hitting everything. Rides firmer without being punishing, but even better, there's zero body roll now. Corners flat and turn-in is vastly improved. I put the following on: -Pregress Lowering Springs. -Mazdaspeed Accessory Sport Struts & Shocks. -SPC Adjustable Rear Camber Links.
