  1. That right there was my train of though last night while posting, only you put it so wonderfully.
  2. Right on, we shall discuss later. In the meantime I'm gonna go grill up some donkey steak...lol
  3. This is why I am where I'm at: I don't believe there is or isn't. As a human, I just exist. I don't regret or dispute my existance or other's existance. The only documentation we have of God's existance is written by man. Christianity and its rules were also written by man. From my point of view, God could have been created by man as that's the only "proof" there is. But what gets me is how powerful it has been to last so long and to only get stronger. Out of curiosity to your background DWiggs, were you brought up in a religious family?
  4. But why are you under the impression that worship is neccesary? Why can't existance be enough and just left at that? You must know who Martin Luther was... It seems to me that you were led to your impressions and understandings by a set of professors set on their own beliefs, which is fine because that's how I was taught, but I don't claim to be the holder of all truth.
  5. Of course there are mistakes and unreliability in the Bible, it was written by man. That in no means it wasn't based off of something true. You're right, natural morality doesn't exist. We're born blanketed-pig style and no nothing and are taught what we know and believe, just as you have been. Is that a bad thing? Morals were created so that mass numbers can live together in harmony.
  6. 1. Every religion is similar in that there is a faith that exists. There is something believed in. More times then not, it's a higher being. Now, in my mind I've come to the conclusion that that means there are similarities. I went out on a limb on that one. 2. So now you're saying what is and what is not worthy of worship. God can be such a simple thing. Mother nature could be God in which she angers with the human race and punishes. What I'm saying is it seems you have your own perception what God is, which somewhat contradicts the fact you're trying to disprove. 3. You're correct: nothing can be both correct and incorrect, which is why I said it was neither..
  7. I'm under the impression that it's your belief that fear is the motivator in our times therefore hell must have been the ultimate doom whenever, if ever, God was created. When mankind began, we don't know what they feared.
  8. Firstly, no one has "expertise" in this, as the reason in the thread's title states. 1. Every religion that I have encountered or studied seem drastically similar in form but not in words. Meaning the world only has 1 religion but it has been broken up to appeal to the masses. 2. You're under the impression that the God you speak of is the one percieved by most. Not all look at God the same. The way you're looking at It is the reason you oppose It: assumption. There's no proof that everything in the Bible is correct and incorrect. Most likely there is some very innaccurate literature written in it but who are we to speak its trueness?
  9. Exactly, meaning we made up the the thing we fear for no point. Why scare ourselves?
  10. But I don't see how death would bring so many as a culture to come to the conlusion that there's something after death. In fact, that would mean we made the fear after death up as well: hell. If we made God up to make ourselves feel better about afterlife, it's because we scared ourselves by making hell's planes up as well. I just don't think that makes sense. It's possible though. As to the democrat joke, I was being an asshole and thought I'd toss a generaliztion joke in for fun. All in all, if there is a heaven, it's not a place, it's reincarnation. I tink the Native Americans hit the jackpot with their thinking.
  11. I do agree that there are many interpretations. What I don't understand is how anyone can make assumptions about faith or not. We as humans are morons. We are oblivious to everything outside of our shell. I thik I misunderstood D Wiggs too, but that's cuz I'm an asshole.
  12. And nothing pisses me off more then people who think their way of thinking is the only way. I'm gonna take a guess and assume you always vote democrat as well. It's not at all conceivable in your mind that something not on the same level of understanding that we as humans have come to learn, exists? Why is God(s) dated back so many years with no historical proof of where the idea began. Everything else in the history of mankind is accountable for where it began and where its idea came about, except for one thing: God.
  13. Have you read the Bible? It was indeed written by man, but with interpretations and experiences related to God.
  14. I havn't stated whether or not I believe in anything. I'm agnostic. I don't hold anything to be true but I don't deny anything. I do believe there's a higher energy form then a human but I'm not sure as to its relationship with mankind. Using science, there are higher energy forms of matter then our own earth. With that, how can it be disproved that there isn't a higher living being somewhere out there?
  15. Using a thermos of coffee is a great way of explaning; I've always tried to explain it before but that will make it much easier. It seems we think alike, only you speak better. lol, thanks. Basically what I'm getting from your post is that how can we as humans understand higher powers if we've only just begun to crack the shell of our world? Of course some will choose not to believe in anything if they havn't seen it, but it's still possible for it to be there. If that's what you're saying then you've read my mind.
  16. Uh, 1? Is it just 1 small regular sized envelope? Then one 39 cent stamp is enough.
  17. Make offers! Low ballers are welcome depending what they buy.
  18. A guy I work with had his t/a painted there. He did all the prep work himself and taped everythign off himself. He got the basic paint plus extra clearcoat. In my opinion it looks fantastic. It's all up to how you prep it.
  19. I'm in Worthington. I can meet you somewhere close to where you're at.
  20. It reminded me of Steak and Shake the first time I went.
  21. Bumpity, if you see someting you want make an offer!
  22. Ya, sure. Where you at? I could possibly drop it off to you. It's pump action but you can use co2 and not have to pump at all. I have hundreded of bbs as you can see in the pic that you can have. That microscopic scope on that is worth more then $15 alone.
