Yes. They are not fast, or even quick, but they make decent power. Stock is 140hp 258tq. They feel faster than they are due to the tq. Considering you can crest 50mpg in some of the TDI models, its a great overall car.

All seals on the top need to be cared for (oiled) regularly or they will leak. Fsi engines have pcv, dv and cam follower issues. Tsi has the intake flapper motor issue, but i never had the problem. Some dsg cars had mechatronics recall, and exended warranty. Thats the basics.

Good car overall. What years are you looking at? I suggest 09+, gives you the new tsi engine that is much better. Let me know what year you are looking at and i can give you all the details

Wish I could swing this. May/June/July will be expensive months for us. Car and Homeowners insurance is due, wife will be getting a new car, and having 1 month of double payments, and the Rally in June, which will cost north of 2k. Hope to run a track day this year though!

I don't think I will be doing the cruise any more. Not a big fan of waiting on 20+ cars to get through various lights, then traveling at 70mph all the way there. See you all at C&C if the weather is nice.

Nice pictures. My only request would be more full car shots. For those that didn't attend, its hard to see the actual car in some/most of the pics. Looks like a nice turnout though!
