I will be on west campus to pick up my car at around 530, so whereever you guys want to meet up let me know. text me at 563 1848.
-
I will be on campus at 515, and ready after that. Let me know.
-
I am down for whatever. I have school until about 5:30 tonight, then I am leaving for the ohiovw biweekly meet at 7. If anyone wants to meet up before or after PM me for my number and I can give it out to those that want to meet up.
Korpy, your parents live on the same street as mine. My name is Aaron and I used to have the Blue SHO Taurus, Silver A4, and Black GTI. Pretty sure you used to have a red eclipse right? and now that red vert stang?
Let me know guys. Once I get my Rabbit back, I will race any 16/17 second cars! Cost cutting sucks, but oh well, its only for a year.
-
Thanks for letting me tag along. Sorry I wasn't good competition but with my fat ass and the fat ass S4, 340hp doesnt do much lol.
I didn't talk much because you all seem to know each other real well and I didn't want to interupt your conversations.
If any REAL high 13/14 second cars want to go, let me know.

I will drive up there, leaving now. black S4
-
I work from 5 to about 10 or 11 on Saturday and Sunday. I could meet up before or after that if you guys wanted.
-
I will be driving it through the weekend, so people can either PM me here or whatever.
My mom had surgery today so I am beat right now.
And I wont be breaking his car, its under warranty, and I am a pretty good driver. I am not some 16 year old kid with his daddy's car even though that is what the post looks like.
Let me know, I know for a fact even a stock Mach 1 will eat an S4. But I am up for any friendly racing, come one come all.
I moved out to the Orleans by Tuttle Mall but can meet people wherever.
Its nice to drive a car with some power for a change. My 2008 VW Rabbit is getting boring after a chipped B7 A4 and a new GTI.
-
My dad's 2005 S4 6 speed with only AWE catback has some extra miles on its lease and I will be driving it for a week or so to use as many as I can.
Totally friendly racing, no money, just for the hell of it. PM or post here I guess.

Might be able to find a higher mileage MKIV R32 for 15?
E36 M3, but don't know how the maint frequency/cost is on those
B5 S4s are an expensive car to DD as stated, but worth it if you can swing it.
Maybe a 2.7T A6 6 speed?

vwjeff on ohiovw is a good place to take it for that kind of inspection also.

Yeah, no haggle at Carmax.
Look on autotrader to see how reasonable the price is. Also see how long they have had it, more likely to lower price if it has been on the lot for a while.

Timing belt/water pump
The GLI is a great looking car, and has less mileage, but will probably cost more. The GLI is the only 1.8T car I would get, other than that, I would get the VR6 cars.
-
Pretty impressive. Can't wait for the GXP.
-
Fried Chicken for sure.

My dad and I are thinking about picking up a good B5 S4 in about a year and a half. They are going for cheap now and would make a great running project car.

I call it Airport Rd. Its the road off of Hamilton Rd behind the Airport. Very twisty, a small straight and some other good twisties. Not to trafficed but you have to be careful. My usualy test drive rd at byers.
Noebixby is alright too, but heavy traffic.

B5=2.7V6 Biturbo 250 hp 258tq mid 5s to 60 low 14s 1/4
B6/B7=4.2V8 340hp 300tq 5 flat to low 5s to 60 and mid to high 13s 1/4
The B5 with a chip though is easily a mid 13, low with turbo back exhaust.
Love them but the AWD and weight of the Audi's are killers from roll races. My dad has had a stg 2 B5 and a B6. Both great.
LSX cars are strong as hell, should have no trouble with them until they are past stg 2.
-
I had GIAC 93 on my B7 and it really woke the car up.
Its obvious you don't hold Audi's in high regard, which is fine.
Good luck with the search, my dad passed on the A4 as well. Time for a change he said. He has had 2 S4s in the past 7 years, stg 2 B5 and a B6. The interior on the B7 is same as B6. He is buying my GTI until he finds a car worth spending more money on.
-
Interesting comments on the A4. I thought the shifter had good feel, with medium distance travel. Not long by any means, but would be a good candidate for a quality Short Shifter. I didn't do one because mine was a lease and it was good enough for the time being. As for the turbo lag, you might be confusing it with something else maybe? The engine puts out like 85% tq at 1800rpms. Either way, you will like the overall car if you find one for her. Thats what Audi does best, building the best overall car in its class, IMO.
Did you go to byers? They have alot of Auto's there.
Good luck.

I know a VW tech that does timing belt/water pump sevices on the side with provided parts for about $3-400. Parts are about the same. Let me know.

Actually 06+ CPO is no longer transferrable.
I knew that they stopped that, I was under the impression it was the 06 model year. It really was an appealing thing to be able to buy a CPO from a private seller.
Wonder if the 05.5 B7 is transferable? Might still be able to get a B7 from private seller that way.
-
Not generally no. Anything that can or is worth CPO'ing will be done by the dealer. There are no hang-ups or down-payment requirements for the .9% either. Just has to be an 05-08 A4 If If I recall.
CPO has to be done by dealer, and all 05/06 cars have the transferable warranty so you can buy a CPO from private seller. The 0.9% is for 05/06 A4 and S4s only. I don't know if the finance deal is for CPO only, but most all at dealers will be CPO.

- Legacy GT: She didn't like it at all. I wasn't all that impressed either.
- Altima. Sorry, it is boring looking. She doesn't want another Nissan anyway, unless it is an Infiniti. We found some good deals on loaded Accord Sedans too, but again, they are lame looking in comparison to the nicer stuff out there.
- She loves the 330xi and G35x...and both are PRICEY in comparison.
I don't think she would want an S-line, as she isn't looking for a sports car, just something sporty.
That .9% is something she would like...I'll see if we can find her one quickly. There was on at Byers Audi she liked from the outside (they were closed), but they were asking 28k for a car I've seen listed by other non-local dealers for 21k...so we will see if they are willing to negotiate.
Shawn, I may be calling you this weekend if we have any questions when we are looking.
Larry Hobbs is a good guy at Byers to go through. Last 3 Audi's through him. I got my car 3k off what dealer had "marked" on my GTI. The Financing thing is an Audi wide thing so your only limited by how far you want to drive to buy the car. Don Rosen and Riverside Audi are both large Audi dealers withn 500 miles. Just FYI

The 06 has maint included for initial 4/50. The extended CPO adds 2/50 with a $50 deductable/visit. Great warranty.
Any 13/14 second cars want a friendly go?

Had some good runs with soslo50. He got the edge in most races, but I held him off on the outside lane of one. Good fun. Thanks.
