  1. with 1000cc inj. and twin 255 pumps and over 600whp i still get 24-25mpg if i keep my foot out of it.

I think the trick with your car is the big turbo and lag to help the fuel consumption. STI and EVO with stock turbo are horrible on gas wether they're tuned or not.

  2. Yeah the proof that 3 of the 30 cars were racing. I for one wasnt.

    Also...

    4511.251 Street racing.

    (A) As used in this section and section 4510.036 of the Revised Code, “street racing” means the operation of two or more vehicles from a point side by side at accelerating speeds in a competitive attempt to out-distance each other or the operation of one or more vehicles over a common selected course, from the same point to the same point, wherein timing is made of the participating vehicles involving competitive accelerations or speeds. Persons rendering assistance in any manner to such competitive use of vehicles shall be equally charged as the participants. The operation of two or more vehicles side by side either at speeds in excess of prima-facie lawful speeds established by divisions (B)(1)(a) to (B)(8) of section 4511.21 of the Revised Code or rapidly accelerating from a common starting point to a speed in excess of such prima-facie lawful speeds shall be prima-facie evidence of street racing.

    (B) No person shall participate in street racing upon any public road, street, or highway in this state.

© Whoever violates this section is guilty of street racing, a misdemeanor of the first degree. In addition to any other sanctions, the court shall suspend the offender’s driver’s license, commercial driver’s license, temporary instruction permit, probationary license, or nonresident operating privilege for not less than thirty days or more than three years. No judge shall suspend the first thirty days of any suspension of an offender’s license, permit, or privilege imposed under this division.

    ---------------------------------

Part (A): Doesnt apply to me, even where it says "Persons rendering assistance in any manner to such competitive use of vehicles shall be equally charged as the participants" doesnt apply to us not racing either b/c we were in the right lane the whole time with the cruise control on.

Part (B) Doesnt apply to me.

I dont know what they have on us then?....I think they dont have a leg to stand on for those who werent racing and were just cruising.

    Anthony

Anthony, first, I'm glad you're ok. Second, you should go back to school and become a lawyer, you have that gift.

I was so freaking busy with moving and work for the last week. I didn't have tv or internet for the whole last week. I only heard of this since yesterday from Eric. Good luck with everything.

  3. This is copy and pasted from the mitsubishi web site

"The RS and GSR. The RS version was produced as a competition car with a limited-slip front differential and a friction type LSD at the rear. It also came with GLX seats and 16" (41 cm) steel wheels as these were items that would be replaced by anyone entering the car into competition events. The RS also had wind up windows, no air conditioning, and a few extra brace bars to strengthen the chassis, one behind the front grill and the other across the boot floor. The RS also had a factory option of thinner body panels and thinner glass. The GSR and the RS shared a new twin scroll "

"The Evolution was changed again in 2003, this time sporting Super Active Yaw Control to handle traction and a 6-speed manual gearbox. It was available with 280 PS (276 hp/206 kW) in three trims: standard (GSR in Japan), RS USDM (devoid of all excess components, such as interior map lights, power windows/doors, A/C , and radio) and MR. RS Editions came with a revised limited-slip front differential. The new Evolution also sported Altezza taillights.

You're somewhat correct. Those are for non-USDM maket Evos. Every USDM Evos have AC and PS, that's including the RS! RS came to the US with white and red only, and also '04 and up.

  4. I'm looking to get a R32 Skyline GTR. That car is register in FL. The owner said he bought it from a guy in KY. So I'm just wondering if I need some kinda special paper work to get it register and insure in OH? Thanks in advance.
  5. The max amount of contribution as of 2008 is $5,000 as long as you make under $101,000 annually.

A traditional IRA will give you a tax break now just as a 401k will depending on your tax bracket but a Roth will benefit you more when you actually use the money when you retire but you dont get the tax break now when you actually contribute the money. So... you either benefit now or when you retire. Due to now knowing what your financial stability will be with your 60y/o and not knowing what your tax bracket will be chances are you will save more money through not paying as much taxes if you contribute to a Roth IRA.

This is the way I understand it, I am DEFINITLY not an expert so dont take my advice until you talk to a professional.

So there's no max amount for my contribution to the ROTH IRA?

Anyway, AKNS is a good buy right now. It should be up to $7.00+ soon. This stock go up and down in the $5-7 range.

  6. Do your research on "Pink Sheet Traders" before you even think about penny stocks

I do know what it is. Most if not all of them are OTC. It's is an extremely high risk stuff, boderline gambling. Just don't know where to get in on the action.

  7. My next big thing.... penny stocks!!!!

How would I do that? Most places won't let you buy stock that is under $1.

This thread is very interesting. Please keep this alive. :D

  8. You are correct,

My car is a roll car, FWD and it has its downfalls but for something pushing a 35r with only 1.8l it makes more power than 95% of FWD 4cyl on this board.

And I do want my car to trap 125 at 12.99.

New gearing goes in after Buschur event on the 25th of may so to you ramsey I might just hit 130 in the 1320.:D

    I'll be your Huckleberry! ;)

I'm always looking for a good run. If not, i'll see you @ the Buschur event.

  9. What's wrong with the MRs?

Known to split the transfer case open on hard launch and crappy 4th gear.

To the OP, I was the biggest Mitsubishi skeptic you'll ever know. Just ask Anthony with the white 'vette and Garret with the black Z06 (they both used to own evos). I used to called their cars Shitsu.

Shortly after that, I got an Evo 9 RS (can't pass up a good deal). It's the most well-rounded car I've ever own. It brakes and turns like a Porsche. So easy to make power. I had less than a thousand dollars worth in mods and make 370awhp. Try to get an Evo 9, they are more rare and respond to mod extremely well over the evo 8. Also come with bigger turbo to start. Good luck.

  10. I think it was Charles Barkley (can't recall correctly), that said his uncle gave him a great piece of advice:

Split his income (after taxes) into thirds. Spend 1/3, save 1/3, and invest 1/3. Sounds like that would work for most athletes pretty damn well.

Yup, that's why he now owe the Winn 400G and admitted to have lost millions in gambling.

Anyway, 21 mils in the bank with a 5% interest per year will get you a little bit over a mil per year to spend. I'll be happy as a clown to have a mil/year to spend and not to have to worry about my financial ever. Damn, just damn!!
