  1. Bro I'd rather have my Formula than a Trans Am. They don't have to be hopped up with a body kit to get respect. Formula's are the no frills, Lighter, and Least Wind Resistant, version of the Pontiac v8 line up for the LS1 or LS2's for that fact. I'd take it over an LS2 GTO as well

    It was a joke. ;)

    P.S. They're still only Formulas.

    :p

  2. i like that. if you ever need any non-dealer-covered mechanic stuff done, i know some people. car looks nice.

Cool, thanks...I'll keep that in mind.

I like it. I've liked them since day one. Kinda design that will always look good IMO. I just wish they had a bit more torque and grunt. I loved my S2000 and it was a fun ride, especially in comparison to my GXP, but I always missed the torque and low to mid range power when I drove it.

It's weird driving it, without the grunt of the LS1....but, I like it for what it is. I was getting a bit tired of the straight line performance format. :o

Nice buy by the way - I have been a fan since they came out.

    Thanks. Yeah, same here....

congrats mike on the new whip. now give me your wheels please.

HAHA Thanks man. I will be getting new wheels soon. Hmmmm. LOL Though, I might want to hold onto the stockers....for the winter. :o

Finally picked up my Eight.

I'm really liking it so far....it's a totally different animal than the TA. And it's taking some getting used to. The Powerband is nice though....it's got a pretty even pull, 'round 4,500 it opens even more....it's pretty crazy hearing it scream at 7,000+ RPM's too. It's balanced VERY well....and handles incredibly. Makes the TA seem extremely sluggish, like a boat...handling-wise.

More impressions later....just thought I'd post a couple pics.

  6. I disagree about the same "mod system". In the sense that the tuning index is much deeper this time around. With the telemetry read outs that are available, the new tire physics, and the updated car physics engine....as far as sims go, Forza 2 pretty much blows everything out of the water (excpet maybe GT2). How deep you can get with a tune is incredible. It definitely, from a simulation stand point, puts Gran Turismo to shame imo.

I'm personally not bugged by not having music during the racing....I'm a car nut, I wanna hear engine sounds, screaching tires, and bent fenders....not a techno track blasting over my speakers.

The only "major" things I can knock on it about....are the graphics, they're just not quite up to par, and the jaggies are terrible. And it could have used some more tracks.

  7. Been playing a bit this afternoon....here's my Solstice so far.

Nothing special....just started messin' around. (Will do something more involved later) The wheels I have are Fikse, so figured I'd do a Fikse sponsered car.

  8. Mike,

I know Saturn North is closer to you being in Westerville, but I highly recommend Saturn West in Hilliard. I worked there for 2 years and sold a "few" cars for them. Have Al Clapsaddle help you out. The man is a Saturn "guru" His family has had over 40 Saturns in his day and he can answer any question you might have. Scott Bean is the GM and a great guy along with the used car mgr Jody White. (if you are trading)

The Sky looks great and from what I hear, the Redline is a 13.5 second car out of the box. I'm 6'3'' though, so I dont fit very well.

 Yeah...I don't mind going far to get the car I want. Will give them a call. Thanks.

And yeah, it's a quick little car....with 228 RWHP out of the box, weighing only 2,900 lbs., it's got some get-up-and-go. Also, I've heard they handle really well....50/50 weight distribution.

  9. Aren't you too talk for that car?

seriously though they look great and I would say you should get a white one. Since your TA is black.

That's what I'm gonna find out. :o My brother-in-law is 6'0", and fit fine. He said it might be a tight fit for me....but you sit so low in the car. We'll see I guess. LOL

Yeah...White is probably the front running color for me...it looks great in White, and you don't see too many people with that color, even online.

  10. Is there still a waiting list for the redlines? Its the first saturn that anyone would call sexy. I think the car would be a blast.

It's not as bad as it was in the beginning....but they are still kinda hard to find. I think they've stopped taking orders for 07's...and started taking orders for 08's.

  11. cool lookin but id get a used m3 or 4.2 S4 before i thought about getting one of those.

    i x2 the used m3.....much better buy.

Meh, M3's are cool....I really like them, but they've lost their appeal imo. Too me, they're not as inspiring as a lot of other cars out there. And...look to similar to the millions of other 3 series' that you see everyday. And if I was gonna get an M3, I'd probably say screw it...and just go for a new 335i.

S4 is another good car....but I could think of several other cars I'd rather have.

  12. In my search for a fun DD, I'll be looking at the Sky Redline this week. Over the past few days I've been reading up on them, doing research, etc.....and they've grown on me quite a bit. My brother-in-law drove one of the regular models, a little while ago, and loved it....he said he was sure I'd like the Redline. If I end up really liking it....it could end up being the car I get next month.

What do you guys think of them?

    http://picsorban.com/upload/skyrl1.jpg

I'm still trying to figure out what color I like the best on them too.

  13. Off topic but I see you in your car all the time on Sunbury rd.

Sunbury? You sure? Not over there that much...ever. (I live over by Polaris) I go to the Easton area every so often, but not really on Sunbury Rd. I did see you like a week ago though....on Lazelle Rd. I knew it was you, because of the window stickers. Car looks nice.
