No the state ranges aren't free but they are pretty cheap. You have to get your pass before you go, anywhere that sells hunting/fishing licenses can sell you one.

The first run of Smith's lowers did have issues with PMAGS and Thermolds but Smith made it right, no questions asked.

I found my old Jeep parked outside the shop on Google Maps. Google doesn't come out to my neck of the woods very often. -
