Here is the issue that you are missing. This law has little to nothing to do with helping anyone get health care. This law is about control of your life. If you control the health care of a country, you control the population. This is one step short of using food as a weapon. The Constitution tells us what the government can do and the federalist papers tell us why. There is good reason health care was not mentioned in the constitution, controlling health at the governmental level gives power to control birth, death, and time in between. The constitution was written to outline what the government can do, not what it cant do. This is very important to understand, most people look at the constitution and a paper the tells the government what it cant do. In the federalist papers you will find, the writers had great foresight in the constitution. I cant recall who it was, maybe Jefferson, that talked about the dangers in defining what the government cant do. If the government has direct set of guides of what it cant do, anything that is not mentioned becomes fair game. This is one of the reasons several of the signers had issue with having a bill of rights. Our bill of rights tells we the people what we can do, what is not mentioned is what we cant do. This leaves open many avenues for the federal government to restrict us. The bottom line is the law is there to control you and your decisions. It is there to control how long you live, how well you live and who will live.

I will give you my opinion by the numbers.... 1. Health care fraud is a serious issue, but you have to look at what is being deemed fraud. Fraud has such a loose definition in the med-legal arena it is scary. For example. If a person receives a service that the patient needs but medicare says no they dont, you have fraud, even though the patient received the service and needed it in the opinion of the doctor and the patient. Many docs have been sanctioned for billing for services that were medically necessary, but later found to be elective or maintenance issues by an untrained bureaucrat follow a page in a book and not taking the patient into consideration. In addition when you see these high figures on health care fraud the way they come to the number is very suspect. They (the OIG) sample a set number of claims, say 1000 claims. the look at what the think are fraud and determine 10% were fraudulent on average. they then take that number and apply the percentage to all the claims submitted. Bam..... now 10% of all claims are fraud $XXXX millions in fraud. All that from some serious extrapolation. 2. I agree 3. We will never have the cost inline until we go back to a cash health care system. Look at the vets that provide great care to your dog, for much cheaper than you can get from your doctor. I will give you an example, my son stuffed a peanut up his nose when he was 1 1/2 years old. That cost me $2500 to get the nut out of his nose. I ask a guy that is a vet in Johnstown what it would cost to get and rock out of my dogs nose, he said about $75 -$150. Why the difference? Because of a third party payer system! People dont care what it cost if they dont directly pay for it.

That seriously flawed thought process. First of all, infrastructure is not comparable to personal liberty and freedoms that are guaranteed in the constitution. Placing a living tax on the citizen does the exact opposite. Now we all shall pay a tax for the privealge of being alive in the US, that flys in the face of the constitution. National defense is something that is spelled out in the constitution health care is not..Enough said there.

I have had more than one person come to me with "Parkinson like" symptoms that has been caused by diet soda. A couple have been in their mid twenties. Aspartame problems develop over time and once they start the only way to stop the issues is to stop the consumption. It really is bad stuff!

Happens all the time my friend. We are just as responsible for a missed diagnosis as the family docs are. We are primary care Physicians according to state and federal law.

I am not a union person, but it is getting to the point this may be a step that becomes necessary. I do think there have been attempts in the past to organize. Unless your a doc most people do not understand the pressure that is put on us no matter if your an MD or a DC. The constant cuts to reimbursement make it very hard to keep the overhead paid in some cases. This is one thing Kirk will understand, the constant threat of investigation by medicare/medicaid, board actions, malpractice suits etc some days do not make it fun to come to work. Just think, if in your profession, you have a group of government people that have the job of putting you in jail. The OIG has a whole task force that does nothing but but doctors in jail. That kind of suck knowing that groups of people make a living trying to find something to prosecute you for.
