If your looking for a suv that's still fun like stated look at the srt8 or a Porsche or a X series BMW, Audi makes a couple RS SUVs as well but they are hard to find
Front end has normal items that wear out a lot like toe rods and ball joints, stock cooling fan set up sucks, bottom of all the doors rust, if it's not awd don't bother with it.
If the price range fits look at a srt8 Cherokee instead
I wish he doesn't want a mustang or a standard cab 2500 so I got nothing
However given the broad range of what your open to I will say a older ;runner if you want a suv or I would look at a Grand Prix or Impala for a car
I don't see why so many people want to build one vs buy one from a manufacture who has done the R&D to put together parts that work, unless you have access to the tools or plan to build a few he cost is no where near justified when you can go buy one complete ready to rock and roll for a fraction of money more than your pieces ...
No buying one and modding it different story. That I understand but it's like building a car from each piece instead of buying one and changing what you want

Trailer it to the Bmv for the vin inspection
Or is it a basic key like no security or anything? High tech lock smiths can cut a key via vin 90% of the time
Or another thought might be cheap to buy a new cylinder with keys
It's on a crv and she could care less about that stuff mostly just want to be safe, I looked them up online and so far that is the best option but wanted to check before we pull the trigger here
